Hi... I work as a computer programmer and while I enjoy it very much, I'm more focused on my time-off. I enjoy going to a good concert, spending a day in NYC or any city for that matter, going for walks, taking in a movie, trying to play tennis without looking totally stupid, strolling a beach boardwalk and just hanging out doing nothing. I would like to do some more world traveling in the future. (I need someone fun to go with though!). I'm pretty easy going and really try to make the best of any given situation. I feel it's more important who you are with than what you are doing. So yes, I can sit through Ironman if we're holding hands and be very happy :-). I tend to see the humor in most things and work at becoming a full-fledged grownup someday. I guess my friends would describe me thoughtful, caring, honest to a tee, true to my word and generous. I have 2 grown children who live out of state and judging from their successes, I've done a pretty good job I think. I have a little dog and a cat that co-exist. Jake, my dog, loves her (and everyone really), but she gets him in a headlock often to show who is boss. Now onto you....The man I hope to find would be intelligent, playful, humorous, and would turn out to be my best friend for life. Oh to think that could actually happen right here on POF! Sigh.....Honesty, trust and respect are foremost. If you aren't honest, there's no trust or respect. I have no interest in arrogance and playing head games with anyone. I hope to find someone who isn't addicted to this dating site and is serious about meeting the "right" one. I have no desire to become a dating guru and hope to get off this site fairly soon, like tomorrow if possible. Anything that doesn't seem like a job interview

Woman. 53 years old. Zodiac sign: Taurus.
Looking for: man. In age: 50-60
I was reading an article on Oprah.com about 10 things never to put in an online profile. Basically what I realized is that I didn't put much of anything! So I decided maybe I could say a little bit more about myself without being offensive or immodest, thus this update:Things I really love include music, movies, and books...then taking time to have enlightening discussions and comparisons. I adore long walks in the Fall, sitting on my back porch watching my 2 cats nap while I enjoy a cup of hot tea, a good glass of wine preferably sipped where there's a breathtaking view, and passionate kisses with someone who knows how. I'm re-learning to play guitar and I love karaoke, but I won't make you sing. I write books, screenplays, and poetry but so far don't make any real money at it. I'm starting a new phase of my life and eager to make new memories in a new place. As far as what I'd like in a partner...someone 'real,' who knows himself and isn't afraid to share his feelings. You're confident, honest, funny, passionate about life, loyal, and a friend. There would be common ground between us, but room to learn about new things and grow. Deal breakers are overly judgmental, fundamentalism, smokers, and narcissists. (And sorry guys, I'm not particularly into men with motorcycles and I really don't like sports at all...I'll never say never, but that would take some convincing!)Friends first is important to me, but getting to know each other is half the fun, right?! Can't wait to meet you! A glass of wine or coffee, lots of stimulating conversation. Easy, friendly, no pressure, hopefully the beginning of developing a friendship with the potential to lead to passion.

Would like to meet someone who enjoys traveling, long drives, laughing, listening to music and snuggling by a fire. I am caring and trustworthy. I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I am a hardworking nurse and my children are my life but they are grown and now it is time for me to find someone to spend some time with. Coffee and a nice chat :)
