Hello and thank you for reading my profile. I am a very happy, positive and upbeat person and live my life by the glass is half full theory. I have chosen a career that I love that affords me the ability to help others and to utilize my mind. I am divorced and have a 14 year old daughter that lives with me full time (99% of the time). Therefore, you must love to be around children. I am a very involved parent and give fully in all that comes with raising a child. I am always laughing and most find my laugh contagious. I am a very social person and can start up a conversation with just about any person. My hobbies include spending time with family and friends, movies, shopping, church-God is good, reading, traveling, arts, concerts, basically enjoying life is important to me. Not the type of person to sit around on the couch every weekend; however, I do enjoy dinner at home and relaxing for the evening with friends, family or that special someone. I love to take road trips planned or unplanned, sometimes unplanned are the best vacations. I enjoy anywhere from sitting on a beach, going to the mountains or just exploring a new place. I am not an adventuresome person in the sense I will not be doing sky diving anytime soon (terrified of heights), but I am always willing to try new things to a certain degree. I have a very small family and have friends that have become family and I do enjoy spending time with them as I feel we all need our time to ourselves. I think it helps us to appreciate the time when we are away from our significant other and creates a desire to be with them even more. What I am looking for...a stable, like minded person that is content in his life and looking to date to see where it might lead. I am not looking for hang out or a casual relationship. I would like to meet that person that starts out as a friendship with hopes of progression to a more meaningful relationship. I do need to be with a person that is not afraid to communicate and that can hold an intelligent conversation. I feel communication is key in a relationship, good or bad. I am very independent in the sense that I do not need to be tended to ***; however, if I am dating someone I do need to hear from you on a regular basis. Even if it is just a quick hello, thinking of you, etc. just to know I am being thought of that I am a part of your life. It is the small things that can make a difference in a relationship. I was raised in a very small town; however, I am a city girl at heart, but value both. I work hard but at the end of the day leave work at work and I look forward to my downtime and look for the same in a partner. I am not looking for anybody to support or take care of me; however, do value somebody that can. I am a firm believer in that we support and take care of each other. I do take care of myself and my general attire is jeans, blouse and flats, which is what I am comfortable in. I own dresses and heels and know when to wear them! I am not in the gym everyday and only go because there comes a point in life where you have to exercise to remain healthy. I am not a stick thin girl, nor will I ever be, I definately have curves; however, am very secure and confident with myself and in my body image, so if you are looking for the thin, model type, then I probably am not the girl for you. I actually eat on dates and enjoy doing so. I love a great dinner with a glass of wine.I also believe in treating each other with respect and kindness. Hello there. So here I am on this dating site completely niave to the dating scene and how things work these days. I was with my ex-husband for 19 years so I have very little experience dating as an adult. We have been seperated for over two years and divorced since March, ***. I'm ready to meet new people, date, have fun and see what happens. I am the mother of 3 awesome boys. They are 19, 15, and 9 years old. The teenagers keep me on my toes and my youngest is my sweetheart. I work full time, take care of my home and my boys and that keeps me pretty busy. I want to find someone who recognizes that my boys are my priority and who is interested in just hanging out and getting to know each other. I honestly don't know if I'm ready for a serious relationship. I guess that is something only time will tell. I like to work out and take care of myself. I enjoy running, kickboxing, and kayaking.
