I've met a few folks that are fantastic people who are alcoholics. Unfortunately due to my past relationship history, this is not my preference. Then we were both disappointed when it didn't work out. So, if you are an alcoholic (or if anyone else has ever told you that you have a issue) it would need to be a very special case for this to work - would only consider someone who was well-into recovery, a sponsor, done your work around it... With this said, I am a social drinker and good with being in relationship with someone else who is as well.
