I am an outgoing, nurturing, strong-willed, motivated, independent girl who knows how to have a good time! I have always been the type of person who is able to keep a strong balance between work and play. I put my all into everything I do, so I work hard and play hard! I consider myself an optimist. I am always looking at the bright side of all situations. Life is too short to focus on the negative, worry about everything, and feel sorry for yourself because of hardships you've overcome in life. I love to laugh, and I can be pretty sarcastic at times. I grew up in a suburb of St. Louis. I have a close group of friends that I remain close with from school. I am a loyal friend who is always available to listen or give advice, when needed. I am extremely close with my family. I believe family and friends are so important. I have a six year old son, who lives with me and is my world. He is a smart, handsome little fella, who I am extremely proud of. I do have free time, since he stays with his dad sometimes too. I am also an elementary school teacher. I love kids and am around them quite often! I am looking for a motivated, hard working guy, with a good sense of humor and who is also a gentleman.     I like to live my life by the following saying: Work like you don’t need the money, sing like no one's listening, love like you've never been hurt, dance like nobody's watching, and live like its heaven on earth. Explanation to follow (though a little out of order):Work like you don’t need the money: I love to work and have been known to define myself by my work. I enjoy work that is challenging and where I feel like I am making a difference, but have never really been focused on the money or getting to the top. I am content as long as I am progressing and growing. I have recently started working in management consulting focused on health care and analytics, which means I travel Mon-Thurs (has its pros and cons) and that there is plenty of work.Sing like no one’s listening, dance like nobody’s watching: I have been known to spontaneously burst into song or dance. This does not mean that I am great at either, just that they both bring joy to my life. I love the way that both make can take emotions to such a deeper level. I take Zumba classes every chance I get and enjoy the chance to go out dancing. I love almost all music. I am very close to my family and have a small circle of very close friends that may as well be family.     Well the word to describe me from their little nifty drop down box...did not provide "Laid back" and really that's what I am. I go with the flow, pretty much the same good mood from morning to night. I love to cook...and I am amazing at it. I don't like TV...well one show...American Horror Story....if I can catch it on..I should record it with nifty PVR...but that means spending time in front of the TV to figure it out...okay...that was a ramble.
