Hi, I'm a retired Army officer of 20 years. Uncle Sam has blessed me with the ability to now spend more time with my children. I like to stay busy with DIY projects, yard work, and of course activities with my kids, friends, and family. Lets see....I have 12 children, but the good news is.... the triplets are almost potty trained!! Still here? Okay, seriously I have 4 children, 2 girls/2 boys. My oldest is in college, one is a HS senior, and my boys are 11 & 12. I was incredibly fortunate to adopt my three youngest and they are all the light of my life. That's pretty much all I'm going to say about them at this point because the mother bear in me is pretty protective. Okay now that I've got all the scary stuff out of the way....and you're still here....I have brown hair and big brown eyes. I no longer have the body of a 21 year old but I am a very fit size 6 and work out everyday (well M-F that is). All my pics are recent. What you see is what you get! So you don't have to worry about a "see and flee" first date! I'm a genuinely happy person. "Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain". Holding hands, giving massages, cuddling and gazing into each others eyes are important to me. I enjoy hiking and shooting (9mm & compound bow). But don't let the whole shooting or Army thing scare you, I still like to dress and look like a lady....hair, nails and all.Lets see...... I love hiking, camping, snow skiing, scalloping, going to sporting events (especially baseball), and love, the beach. I like to travel and experience different cultures. I like to joke and I like a guy that is not afraid to go toe-to-toe with a bright and vibrant woman. So if I pin your ears back from time to time, please know that it is all in fun. I am "honest" if nothing else and I truly mean that in all things. So I am looking for someone that is equally honest. I'd like a guy that is physcially fit, not necessarily ripped or buff (although that is nice too), but someone who is not over weight or who has simply let-themselves-go. Oh and bald is absolutely fine too. I love a guy with a great smile, the kind of smile that is reflected in his eyes. I'm very much an Independent. Fiscal conservative but pretty liberal in other areas. I enjoy someone who is open minded and can appreciate the diversity that life has to offer. I hope to find someone who understands that life is about continual growth and discovery. I have a good number of interests and am naturally curious, so figuring out a first date that we would both enjoy should not be difficult. But a simple lunch or drink is fine too and allows for a chance to just talk. If I order dessert or a second cup of coffee, that's a good sign ;) I'll assume it is if you do as well. I have little patience for ***, but a little goofiness I can take all day!!! A real man, calm inside with a strong presence. I am new, very new at this. It is not my priority, so if you don't hear back from me...part of the reson is: I am a single mom of twin girls, 9 years old...but I will be in touch or politely let you know I am moving on.My goal is for the girls to understand what a loving relationship is between a man and a woman. I pray the damage is reversible, but I do NOT want them to make the same mistakes I have in the past. They need to see a strong, convicted, gentle, loving man with their Mommy.The guy will have to allow me, and he to catch each other's soul, through our eyes and there must be chemistry with a conviction of me being his and he being my first priority in life, and to lead side by side, with me to the most amazing front porch, where we will sit on that double rocker, hand in hand, reflecting on the life we were so graciously granted as another chance to recognize love, be loved, and love someone as it should be.I want in the end, for my girls to look at he and I and recognize how much we love each other. Is that too much to ask? Am I just a dreamer? I don't expect a smooth ride, but I do expect a champion who can still look at me at the end of the day, understand my depths, respect them, accept them and appreciate who I am, how I love and most everything about me. This is my first time out in 12 years, so I suspect there will be a few learning curves for me, however, I am no child, and find it refreshing that I am so bold writing this, and so sure of what I want for the first time in my life.Do you?;-) Deb First dates will be tough, I get all shy...especially if we have not met. I have a really good sense of humor. I like to joke around and be playful, but I have my serious times, too. I can have a rousing discussion on lots of subjects - not to the point where it turns into an argument, though. I'm a very affectionate person and look forward to sharing that with the right man. I really like pro football and college basketball. My inner child is still intact, so I enjoy sprint-karting or going places like amusement parks; there's nothing like a good roller-coaster to get me laughing. Spare time? I like puttering in the garden (tropicals!), working on fixing up my house, festivals, car shows (classics and new), Zumba, and I keep an eye out for new things to try. I'd like to meet a man who is smart, attractive and has a good sense of humor. He doesn't have to be Mr. Fitness, but hopefully not a "ball cap guy."
