Don't have much time for this section right now, so I will quickly ramble on, as this site is not letting me save my profile without something written here. will come back to this later and take a little time to say something relevant. Will return unless I am swept off my feet.

I would describe myself as warm, friendly and hopeful. I am the person that other people say can look at a situation and turn it around to see the good in it. We are all on our own journies and how we respond to situations is much more important than the situation itself.I love to garden. I love nature. I gardened professionally for years and am now 'retiring' as my Website / IT position has grown. I can't wait to work on my own garden again!I exercise everyday - walking, running, biking. Not in competition with anyone but myself and keeping mentally and physically healthy.I enjoy a variety of jazz, Brazilian, technopop, dubstep, pop, 70's soul music, 80's British bands.... I now prefer smaller arenas - more intimate.I have two children ***in high school and one in middle school. We have really good relationships. Their father is close and involved in their lives.I am a very independent woman - financially, taking care of my home.... I like together time, but, also cherish my alone time where I have to answer to no one. If you are looking for someone to do everything with together - I am not that woman.I am, however, very affectionate and love hand holding, kissing and cuddling. I can be very passionate with the right person.I want to learn more about the Red Wings! I tried to join a Fantasy Football League this year just to learn (the timing was bad). I am hoping to do it next year.I have wonderful friends who are my 'family' - I am close with my family but distance keeps us from being involved in everyday life together.Restarting my life after my 'unmarriage' 5 years ago has reduced the travel I would like to do. I long to see the mountains again, visit National Parks and see some spectacular cities. I hope to do more in the future. First dates can be awkward. Heck, so can the second and third! The walking loosens up some of the nervousness most of us experience. Stopping for a cup of coffee or a casual bite to eat is a nice addition. Or taking a picnic somewhere.....I do like to get dressed up and go out somewhere special. But, most of our everyday lives don't allow for a lot of that, so enjoying the simple things with someone is a good indication of how you would enjoy eachother on a normal basis - not 'holiday dating'.I do love a good hamburger! And good coffee. And desserts :)

I'm an art director and have a degree (BFA) in art. I do a lot of work as a graphic designer as well as other areas of my profession. So, yes, i love museums and culture, architecture & history, but i also love books, movies and simple things. I used to dj on college radio for ***? years and I pretty much love most music including genres like alt, indie, some classic rock, and a fondness for Bach, pretty much most music except country music, which is just fine if you like it, as long as you don’t take over ALL of the radio channel preset buttons in the car. ;)I think it's nice to be with someone who also wants to sometimes just be in each other's company, even if we're doing different things. I like company. Of course if it leads to something greater, i would like that very much. I love to travel. I’;; S.F. the most. I think it's important to be tolerant of others and their differences. I prefer no drama, but i do like romantic gestures. I'm very loyal and I'd love a companion who appreciates me as much as I value them. I love to share things, but I am also a pretty good listener. I like to give my full attention and indulge the man I care about. If you have kids that’s great. I love kids. I think it’s an amazing experience and is truly one of the most important jobs in life, too. I have one son and he’s away off in college, so I’m child free now. So I'm pretty flexible whether you have kids or don’t. There are lots of things to find to appreciate about each other, so most things shouldn't be a deal-breaker, i'm pretty tolerant. I’m scared to ride motorcycles so that’s probably not one of them. I love science and have a sense of wonder about the world. I love to learn. If there is something you are really into, chances are I might take an interest as well. I have a love of adventure. I think something casual and simple would be a best first date, meet at a cafe over coffee or something. I actually love movies, and i think it’s possible at least initially, to engage in conversation before and afterwards. Nothing should be so stressful that you find you are not enjoying it. I prefer low-key, getting-to-know-each-other kind of vibe. And who knows, if things work out great, well then that's cause to celebrate maybe and do something special together.
