No time for negative nancies! first dates can be anything from meeting for coffe, to dinner or even grab a drink. I am:A parentHilariousIntelligentFaithfulReasonably responsible adultYou are:OK with my being a parentAppreciative of my humorAble to handle my sense of humorAble to make me laughNot a douche--at least not yet:)As above, I am a parent first and foremost but that doesn't mean I'm boring or unavailable. It just means that I may have to juggle. And juggle I can. I'm pretty independent and well established so I'm not seeking someone to look after me. What I am looking for is someone to spend time with, someone to get to know and see where things might go. I enjoy live music, movies, dinners out and dinners in. If I may say, I'm a pretty great cook and if you play your cards right, maybe I'll make you breakfast. Or dinner. We'll see. Anything else you would like to know please feel free to ask!Happy Fishing! Drinks with a dinner and chance to talk

Hi,I'm divorced with two young children. I have my children the majority of the week - and I love every moment with them. I love to read, write, cook, art and random gardening. I would definitely call myself an environmentalist. I seriously love to read - Powells is my favorite store. I prefer comedies and pointless action movies over horror and sad movies. I love my morning cup of coffee and chocolate. I love sunrises and sunset, quiet days hanging with loved ones. I am a teacher and find the job very rewarding. I basically live a rather calm life and like it that way. Someday I would like to see Europe, but am content taking care of my kids, myself and my students for the time being. I'm not crazy athletic but keep in shape by playing with my kids inside and outside. I am a fan of moderation - I love chocolate, ice cream and fried stuff - but not to excess. I've been living in the NW for a little over 10 years and have been crabbing, but not salmon fishing and would love to go! Favorite movies: The Princess Bride, Airplane!, The Usual Suspects, Shawn of the Dead, The Godfather. The last good movie I saw in the theater was The Avengers - some movies must be seen on the big screen.Favorite smells: Camp fire (but I'm not a camper really - I can put dirt in my food and sleep on a hard floor at home -thank you), cooking garlic, baking bread/cookies, vanilla, rosemary and thyme. Yes, I like good food.If you don't have at least one bookshelf filled with books I frankly don't think we will have much to say to each other. In your first message to me - please tell me your favorite book(s) and what you are reading at this moment. My music tastes range from classical to modern - but I don't care that much for rap or heavy metal. I love music from the 80s- Hall and Oats, The Police, Eurythmics, A-Ha, etc. I do sing along in the car. A simple coffee during the day just to meet and talk. No high expectations - just a chat.
