About Me

Hi,I'm divorced with two young children. I have my children the majority of the week - and I love every moment with them. I love to read, write, cook, art and random gardening. I would definitely call myself an environmentalist. I seriously love to read - Powells is my favorite store. I prefer comedies and pointless action movies over horror and sad movies. I love my morning cup of coffee and chocolate. I love sunrises and sunset, quiet days hanging with loved ones. I am a teacher and find the job very rewarding. I basically live a rather calm life and like it that way. Someday I would like to see Europe, but am content taking care of my kids, myself and my students for the time being. I'm not crazy athletic but keep in shape by playing with my kids inside and outside. I am a fan of moderation - I love chocolate, ice cream and fried stuff - but not to excess. I've been living in the NW for a little over 10 years and have been crabbing, but not salmon fishing and would love to go! Favorite movies: The Princess Bride, Airplane!, The Usual Suspects, Shawn of the Dead, The Godfather. The last good movie I saw in the theater was The Avengers - some movies must be seen on the big screen.Favorite smells: Camp fire (but I'm not a camper really - I can put dirt in my food and sleep on a hard floor at home -thank you), cooking garlic, baking bread/cookies, vanilla, rosemary and thyme. Yes, I like good food.If you don't have at least one bookshelf filled with books I frankly don't think we will have much to say to each other. In your first message to me - please tell me your favorite book(s) and what you are reading at this moment. My music tastes range from classical to modern - but I don't care that much for rap or heavy metal. I love music from the 80s- Hall and Oats, The Police, Eurythmics, A-Ha, etc. I do sing along in the car. A simple coffee during the day just to meet and talk. No high expectations - just a chat.

I am not into basking in the sun, but prefer a beanie hat and trail running shoes for adventures under the clouds. I'm doing a 30 day Bikram yoga challenge currently just for the heck of it. I work at a private school as an R.A., also as a part-time nanny, an eBay seller and will be returning to finish a fashion design degree later this year with my GI Bill. I have a constant influx of design ideas and would like to put them to use. I draw almost daily. To sum me up school-wise I am best in athletics, math and art (tho I forget math since its been awhile).I have some family in the area and the NW definitely feels like home to me. Music interests: I like a lot of different types including country. Things I do that make me happy: -Exercising in some form-yoga, running, swimming, cycling, lifting, etc almost daily. -Creative outlets like drawing, lately on the computer and sometimes sewing. I made some running dresses recently.Hoping to meet a guy who is grounded, genuine, loyal, likes kids and has an interest in having them (or 1 more), is very athletic, communicative, responsible and has a little magic in there, too. Something simple to see if we have chemistry like meeting for coffee or a short walk.

Well, I just got back from spending 10 days on Oahu, HI. And absolutely fell in love with the people and the Island. I've been a mellow girl my whole lifPpe, and didn't realize I've always been a Hawaiian girl. Makes me believe in reincarnation... Almost. But now I know where I want to be.I know these are always somewhat lame! How to sell or explain yourself if a paragraph. But I can say, I am a very unique individual.. I know people say that.. but I can only pretend for about an hour to be like everyone else.. I'm a total contradiction! I am 3 or 4 opposing things at once... complicated. But NOT boring! I love to laugh, I'm rather clumsy, I have my blonde moment's where I say the oddest things, but they are always funny! If this was a Friend's episode, I'd be Phoebe. IBut I'm also a bit of a Tomboy - Frog hunting, Paintball and FOOTBALL!! I am not a Seahawks fan, I am a Seahawks Atheletic supporter!! And I like beer - Also a fan of the ka de Vod and some scotch, my Geno and I like Cutty. I think most reality shows are fake, especially The Bachelor and Bachelorette, fake, fake, fake! I have adventures by myself all the time! Just as an example: I went to the gorge ALL by myself! And I met some VERY cool people and had a great time! I am a pirate. ***Talk like a pirate day! I have a flight suit, that I wear for no reason at all! Camping, paintballing, working in the yard, grocery shopping, etc... its really cool! So many pocket's!I love to meet new people and hear their story's. I love music and concert's, (Jason Mraz and Matt Nathanson, maybe Gavin Degraw? Hoping AFI will be back soon!! And I've been kicking meself for missing Tool at the Key Arena a few years back...)and I'm a big fan of the car karaoke!! Course the other driver's probably hate me!I'm super fun! Love to laugh, mostly at myself. People watching for the absurd.. I seem to notice the silliest things that no one else seems to see?? So I could be imagining it??? Unless I am just more magical then everyone else! I'm a really good friend, I try to always bring a gift for the Host or Hostess, and clean up during the party as well as after. I'm amazing at giving advice for everyone else but myself! I can be embarassing.. cause I get a little too enthusiastic.. But I have manner's and know when to be girly too.I'm trying to get into college ***; So right now, I'm just trying to relax and have no pressure anything.. I got out of a very one sideded relationship, if that's what you could call it? Looking back it was me being way toooo available, for someone I thought the world of. And who was ultimately playing tic-tac-toe, he didn't even call me on my birthday! And even now he has this pull over me.. kind of like an addiction...So I am trying to be healthy and recognize this and cut that cord. I also only date my friend's, (gasp! shudder!), cause I want to be able to talk to any said person's and have them around my other friends and family! And seriously you should only date your friends, cause you know which one of your friends is datable! And which one stays in the "Friend Zone". - Write that down! And if you actually read any of this, I am only looking for a man of faith, I am a proud Christian. And no, I don't want to hang out. Picnic on a Ferry Boat or going to a Seahawks game, Jimmy's on 1st first for breakfast and then after the game a Tatupu dog ( Cheese dog with onions and cream cheese! Kiss's might not be such a good idea though!)Although a picnic at Gasworks park is nice too! At night! And a trip to the Troll!
