Originally from the prairies and now a West coast girl. Outdoorsy type who also loves the city. I grew up on a farm and although I've lived in cities most of my adult life, it's still a big part of who I am. I try to get out of the city as much as possible. I'd rather be outside than inside most of the time. Very social person, love people, but enjoy some solitude as well. That said, I also love checking out new restaurants, local faves, live music and dinner parties at home. Love good music and into everything from electronic and hip hop to reggae, metal, folk and bluegrass. I'm admittedly design-obsessed and constantly in search of new ideas and inspiration. I find materialism and consumerism to be turn-offs. I like the finer things in life but things don't define me. I make an effort to be conscious of what I buy and where it will end up, (effort being the key word here, I'm not perfect, but I think it's important). This past summer I went fly fishing and I'm officially obsessed. I make a living creatively and love it. Although it can be challenging and inconsistent, it gives me a lot of freedom in life and is incredibly fulfilling and continues to grow in amazing and unexpected ways. If I had to describe myself I would say I'm a 'likes to colour outside the lines' kind of girl. A very happy, free-thinker. I like life to be simple and uncomplicated but accept that sometimes it's not and there is always an opportunity to grow. I can be a bit of a smart-ass and have a rather dark sense of humour on occasion.. a little immature? Maybe..When it comes to what I'm looking for, let me first say that I have an open mind. I've come to appreciate that sometimes the unexpected turns out to be pretty awesome. Qualities like kindness, generosity, confidence, a healthy amount of ambition and a great sense of humour (meaning fantastically witty smart-ass), are all huge turn-ons, but it always comes down to chemistry. If you can build or grow something with your own hands, I'm smitten. Likewise if you can challenge me intellectually or teach me something new. If you are passionate about what you do, regardless of what that is, we'll have a lot to talk about. I'm often drawn to other creative types, but opposites attract sometimes. The only exception to this for me is religion - if you are religious in any way we will not get along, sorry. Spiritual yes, religious no. To me, sexy (for lack of a better word), is something elusive that comes from within. It's far more appealing when it's subtle and maybe takes you a while to put your finger on, rather than trying to get your attention with the obvious. Perfume is something your boyfriend should smell when he kisses your neck, not that fills a room. ; ) First meet. Keep it simple.

LOLThat being said.... The headline says it all. I've Lost and I'm looking again. Seems there are too many men who can't deal with the truth. Look at it this way, at least I care enough to say something. If you can't handle blunt honesty all the time, don't bother talking to me. Also, if you're too shallow to look past what any person looks like on the outside, don't waste your time either. I'm not dog ugly, but I'm not what I would call pretty either, although quite a few people disagree with me. I'm a big girl, I've always been a big girl and even if I weighed ***lbs, I'd still be considered a "big girl" (any less than that and I just would not be healthy). Would I like to look like a supermodel? Of course! Will I ever? Of course not. I refuse to starve myself to conform to society's idea of "Beautiful". I am trying to be more health concious and I'm trying to exercise more, but sometimes that easier said than done. I want a guy that is still "young" enough to know how to have fun, yet "old" enough to know when it is time to be serious. I'm not a mother and I don't want to play momma to a guy that hasn't discovered his balls yet. I'm rough around the edges and I'm sometimes less than sympathetic, but I will be supportive when there is actually something wrong....but I don't deal well with snivelling and I'm not good at dealing with a guy that whines about the mean guy at work but won't man up and confront him. I also refuse to sugar coat anything, so he's got to be able to deal with sometimes brutal honesty. The truth hurts sometimes, but I refuse to blue simply to spare someone's feelings. I believe if you can dish it out, you should be able to take it as well. So if you're giving me a hard time or trying to convince me you think what I'm doing is stupid, you better be able to take the same kind of thing from me. I'm game to try anything at least once and sometimes twice if I am tipsy).Well, if you're still with me after all that, guess you're at least intrigued.
