Let's open here... yes, I am a single father; and I have my son from Thursday afternoon until I Monday afternoon when I bring him to be with his mother. I work entrepreneurially for some extremely well-established clients; this means that all of my work is performed remotely, and largely on my time, except for the extremely infrequent “oh my gosh Ian, we need this done fast” emergency. I am a man with an extremely refined moral compass, I adore adventure and spontaneity, and love travelling to new places and cultures to “eat with the people”. As for being divorced, I am far from being jaded by the idea of matrimony – in fact, my hope is to find that one person who I can eventually introduce to my son to share a life of love, luxury, and adventure with. For now, I have to test the waters (so to speak). There is an old adage that people come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime... and I can only introduce you to my son once I am comfortable knowing that it will be for a reason, or for a lifetime. I loved being a devoted husband, and would thoroughly enjoy being such again; and I adore being a father, and thank God for such an opportunity every day. Ah yes, and I am NOT vaccinated for COVID, nor will I be; neither is my son, nor will he be. I have a long and blessed career that has enabled me to spend irreplaceable time with my son (he is absolutely the best part of my soul, and has brought me to levels I never thought possible). I am upbeat, almost always in a good mood, I love to laugh and help others to laugh, and I am very much an optimist. I appreciate fine dining, but enjoy cooking (and baking) even more. I enjoy spending time in nature, and although I also love the ocean, Jaws permanently scarred me, so I'm more of a beach person than swimming chum 😉 ...truth be told, I am mostly an "enjoy a cabin in the woods, play in the snow with my son, go on long walks, or maybe even just sit and soak in the serenity of nature" kind of guy. I am a string man, unquestionably an alpha-make, and I am looking for a strong woman who isn't afraid to be feminine – and by choice, not because she knows of no other way. I relish intelligence, wit, humor, and deep conversations; with a bit of smartass thrown in for good measure. I would love to meet someone I mesh with - integrity is a must, and drugs or smoking are a complete turn off. I am loyal, passionate, faithful, loving, and an excellent partner in crime; each trait that I also possess in abundance. I live a complete life, and would enjoy sharing my life with a woman that follows her heart, is honorable, who is beautiful both inside and out... and is unafraid to live life on her own terms. Now on to something I never felt would have to be mentioned... but here we go. And please understand that I say these things out of true concern for your beliefs and feelings. If you have your own “special set of pronouns”, then please go to the next profile; insisting that the world adheres to your own personal interpretation of language is arrogance. Same goes for you being a “social justice warrior” as the term is used today. I am a firm believer in equality for all – I always have been, and always will be; yet that is “equality of opportunity” not “equality of outcome”.
