Hi, thanks for reading. Here's a little about me. By the way it feels a little weird describing myself to people I've never met and as a result I've noticed I might come across as quite serious but I do actually have a sense of humour!I enjoy a few regular hobbies and I'm open to new experiences. I like to keep active (and healthy when I can be motivated). I'm the laid back type, dryish sense of humour. Family and friends are important to me, I'm not a particularly outgoing person.I happily live on my own and I'm used to having to do things for myself. I don't have baggage and I'm not the jealous type, i.e. you can have your male friends, I'll have my female friends, lets just get on with it. Also I don't want drama or shouting matches, prefer the quiet life. I'm a believer in 'if it's not working, move on' rather than string things along. I'd like to just be on the same wavelength and have a mutual respect and enjoy the company.I don't think it's important to have the same tastes in music and TV particularly as boys and girls are into different things, although it seems important to a lot of people on here so I'll give it a mention. I don't listen to the radio so not informed of what's in the charts but happy to be educated.Treats/Little things I like: Trips away, trying different food in restaurants, sneezing loudly, mixed grills, lie ins, quoting The Simpsons, fry up for breakfast, Guinness, the smell of petrol, doing something the other person wants to do, silliness, jogging in cool weather, cuddles, feeling smug after having my five a day, sausage and bacon butties with brown sauce, free iphone games, going down a road just to see what's there, and coffee.Things that I don't like: chavs with low slung trousers, walnuts on cake, moths, sunburn, the property market, chavs wearing trousers correctly, people shouting/spitting in public and general antisocial behaviour, charity muggers, spiders, dating sites, being kicked in the balls, political correctness, cruel pranks on kids, incorrect English, rap, other people being *** than me at something I've done for years, and house chores.Oh and if we meet and it's not working out I'd prefer just to leave things on a plus. I went on a date with a lovely girl and she just stopped replying which seems the normal thing to do but I found it a little hurtful as she'd pressed my buttons a little! So please be kind and text and I promise I'll just leave you alone! Not knowing and getting hopes up isn't fair and it doesn't hurt to text but it might hurt not to (should I work in advertising with lines like that?). Anyway never mind, that's life, plenty of fish...Looking for a chilled night out over a couple of drinks with someone new. Get to know each other over a drink or two. Or maybe we could go skydiving :)

Thought I would give this a go as it seems hard to meet people in day to day life and I seem to be getting to that stage in life when most of my group of friends are settled down together. Also I am too old for going out getting drunk and meeting people in clubs. Would be nice to find someone to share life with that is genuine and fun. I genuinely enjoy the company of others and like to socialize, love going on holidays, I attempt to keep fit playing squash, getting out walking or going out on the bike. I'm a geek, but in the traditional 'uncool' sense and I enjoy most of what goes along with being a geek :)I have quite a few hobbies; more than I can take on at once, but I do try to make time for them all! Not all of the hobbies that I have fit within the 'spectrum of geekiness' but I make them work!My biggest passions are definitely film and music. Film is something I'd like to do a lot more, and currently I have plans to make a short film in the next coming weeks, once I work out all of the kinks of getting back into it!I'm a music geek through and through, I love writing, playing and quite obviously listening to music! With that I can find enjoyment in most types of music, except of course for rap... That isn't music! I did grow up listening to a lot of heavy metal and still to this day, is my favourite genre, but my top 10 list isn't all heavy metal bands (most of them are though!)I recently got out of a relationship that wasn't ideal and right now I'm going to be a little more 'selective' on who the next person I date is going to be. That being said, however, I'll never pass up a good conversation! I very much enjoy learning new things, expanding on the knowledge I already have and find intelligence an attractive quality in a person. I've heard a lot about guys on here sending really nasty messages, and using this site just for... 'temporary companionship'. That's not why I'm here, and that's not what I'm trying to do. meetville is purely an augmentation on my 'real life' search for what most of us want but only find in romance novels and chick flicks.... and no I don't read romance novels!
