People often describe me as 'quirky' which I take as a high compliment. My most active hobbies currently include yoga, hiking, cycling (I just finished cycling across Spain), and music. I play cello a bit and like to listen to classical and indie music (my favourite artist at the moment is probably Kishi Bashi). I like the rain. I'm fairly certain unicorns are real, but I have no evidence of this yet. I'm a big nerd (my favourite number is pi) and get excited by math. Yep - I'm a nerd and proud of it. I rock it every day; literally. I love rocks. Oh - don't even get me started on fossils:) I have heard that nerdy is the new cool and I choose to believe it. My students disagree when I call myself a nerd. I think I have them fooled with the motorbike and tattoos. That or they are comparing me to the bald chemistry teacher sporting the lab coat in the class next door. In all seriouslness... I love my career. Some days I can't believe I get paid to do what I do. I love my life and what I have surrounded myself with. I can have fun and enjoy myself doing pretty much anything, but I prefer more intimate and quiet settings. I want a deep and honest connection. In my time of this planet, I've learned a lot about what it means to be honest, to have patience, and to be a good person. This has resulted in having great people in my life. I'd like to surround myself with more great people who also like good conversation, sports, newspapers, movies, and so on. The potential of an attraction developing is often there but can only expect that will take its time to happen naturally. I'm more into meeting new people and seeing where things go from there, without expectations. Friendship is something that is, ultimately, very important to me.I live in the same town that I graduated in, though I've managed to venture out for a bit. I love the city but I also love the country; there's something to say about both. The city has the musicals and the concerts. Whereas, the country offers a perfect view of the night sky. I'm not too picky about the music I listen to but will usually listen to dance music in my car. I've got an SLR camera that my father gave me when I was seventeen which I like to think is quite vintage. It's something that I'll keep and cherish forever. Though I don't keep up on the arts, a lot, I still maintain an appreciation for musicals, dance, photography, drawings, and paintings; Anything that I can relate to. Musicals are something that I was introduced to at a young age, the first ones being Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera. I've got a preference to musicals (like Les Mis and Ragtime) that have a historical reference within its story line.

I'm not looking for a relationship right now, it wouldn't be right, my body is in internal crisis. I've been sick for a while and I've been sitting in the public health system for a long time. That's called health baggage and ain't right to bring into a relationship. Why put it in a profile? If by some miracle I do have a conversation that isn't someone telling me to piss off for saying hi, and I do meet up with people, it's going to come out anyway. Now it's out, much like me. I do need to get out and I need to make some friends who are like me. Not sick, but gay. I love my straight friends, but they don't always get it and there's supposedly this great gay community, in which I know 1 gay person! Seriously!I like to laugh I like to joke around. I'm a complete product of my upbringing and believe in being a gentleman where it counts.
