I enjoy many different things and types of music. One of the things I enjoy most is travelling and I try to get in a couple of trips a year if possible. I enjoy exploring new areas where I have not been before, learning about the local history and culture of the area and trying some of the local cuisine. I also enjoy walking, hiking, bicycling, kayaking, swimming, sailing, fishing, and on and on. I have completed a few half marathons (well behind the Kenyans) but I consider them a success because I finished and my goal is to better my record each time I do one. Wow, it has been awhile since I have had one of these. I think simply doing something that we both enjoy and feel comfortable with. Lord knows we will be nervous enough about meeting someone new.Maybe having a drink or a bite to eat near the beach. Taking a hike up in the mountains. Having a nice dinner and catching a concert or movie. Going kayaking and laughing at each other as we fall in the water. There are so many fun things to do, and they are usually much better when you are with someone else that you care about.

I believe the best in people comes out in the worst of times and this is so greatly illustrated by great people during war time…from the generals, to the soldiers, to the families that sacrificed. I love learning how people rise up during very difficult circumstances and how they found a better way.I love people. If you hang around me, you will find I treat everyone with respect. Doesn’t matter if it is the server at the restaurant, the maid at the hotel, the homeless guy at the end of the off-ramp the CEO that I am trying to do business with or the stranger on the street. Everyone is someone…someone’s son or daughter, someone’s brother or sister, someone’s mom or dad, and I think everyone deserves to be treated well.Life is short…it’s time to live deep. This world is a big place and I am ready to go exploring. Are you up for the journey? For me, the first date is more about the person than what we do on the date itself. It is a great time to see if there is any chemistry and if there is something worth pursuing. I don't care if it is coffee at Starbucks at 10:00 in the morning or a nice dinner at my favorite sushi restaraunt. Now the second date and beyond...that's a different story.
