I am a mix of country and modern. We camp up north in the summer and sit around bonfires year round. I grew up saying a prayer before a home cooked dinner most nights, going to church on Sunday's and playing outside as much as possible. I have an ear for some different kinds of music but I am a country music fan at heart. I love going out to eat or having some drinks at new places in the area. That's definitely a bonus of living down here, so many options! I am wildly sarcastic at times because I would rather spend more time laughing than not and it's amazing to share laughter with people. I consider myself compassionate but I also believe that you should work for what you have, need and want. Being respectful is something I pride myself on and really appreciate in other people. When it comes to friends and dating;I prefer to associate with people who are interested in the same things as me but have some different hobbies or interests that they can share or educate me on. It's nice to learn something new as often as you can to keep you sharp. As I mentioned, I love to laugh so a sense of humor that's somewhat in line with mine is really key. I tend to be attracted to guys who are the same mix as me, someone who could hang doing things my dad likes such as hunting, fishing and fixing things but also doesn't dread the thought of putting on some decent clothes for church or a wedding if and when the plans arise. While I have my idea of the kind of guy I'm looking for, I have been surprised in the past by the person I've dated not necessarily fitting into that idea. It would be a major bonus to find someone who loves country music like I do. First dates and encounters can be terribly awkward so finding something that will allow for a distraction to fill any moment of silence is always good. Two head's are better than one so let's figure something fun out!

I still play church league co-ed softball. And once upon a time I played basketball in school. Volleyball is fun to play too. I enjoy cooking. I don't do well following recipes though. They are great suggestions. I just seem to always deviate away in some small fashion to suit my tastes. Cooking is a time to play & try new things. My music tastes vary depending on my mood. The usual suspects would be country, rock, some pop & some Christian worship. Still love 90's music, especially alternative. But sometimes something with a blues or jazz feel to it captures me. More times that not, metal & rap are more noise than music to me. But any given song on any given day can be what strikes my fancy. I'm looking for a guy who is honest, faithful, responsible & respectful. Who knows how to make me laugh but still has a serious side. Who is looking forward to being a husband & father. Who wants to cuddle on the couch with me to watch a movie or a ballgame. Who will take me out to dinner, to concerts or even on a day trip to the beach. Whose idea of a good time is more like a bonfire with friends than a night out clubbing. I'm horrible at writing things like this. I never know what to say, so here goes. First, about me. I'm recently separated. I was married for 9 years, so I've been out of the dating scene for a long time and don't know what to do. I would really like to find someone to hang out with. I am separated and looking to meet new and interesting people. I have been I guess you could say off the grid for a while and don't know where to begin. I have 2 wonderful children whom I love more than anything. I work full time and love my job. I don't have much time for myself being a single parent but that's ok. ***was a rough year, I was very sick, spent most of the year in and out if the hospital, and eventually had to have major brain surgery to save my life (on the mend from that thank god!) My marriage fell apart. But this year I have taken the steps to turn life around for my children and myself; to make a better future and a better life! I spent to long in a marraige where he showed more respect to the dogs than he did me and then abandoned me when I was sick. If you can't respect me, then we have nothing. Despite all the roadblocks and curve balls life has thrown at me, I still maintain my positive attitude and feel that everything happens for a reason; even though I don't know what that reason is yet. I view everything as the glass is half full! Life is way to short to be so negative! I'm teaching my children the same values. I deserve better and demand better respect than that!
