Hello Ladies ,I'll get straight to the point. I'm looking for a best friend that is upbeat likes to try new things, travel, walk the beach,go downtown ,enjoying good food, especially a good home cooked meal! Someone that's just as comfortable in a dive bar as a nice upscale martini/piano/cigar bar or****ail lounge. You should love to cook and enjoy good foodand a special someone as much as I do. It's so nice to just hang out with my girlfriend and watch some football games, Blackhawks games or a movie smelling good food cooking throughout the day and all eating all the while, playing and laughing! I'm looking for a woman that's always happy with a warm smile,a woman that has good mother qualities(not looking for a mother),intelligent, well spoken/mannered,cleanliness is absolutely necessary as well as personable and pleasant and fun to be with. Are you out there? Of course you do! I'm not seeking a quickie on any level as friendship is a must as well as the closeness that develops over time. I've absolutely no for any bickering or arguing at all nor will I tolerate any verbal attacks either . How can you love someone and totally disrespect them and take them for granted? I'm hoping you like flowers on a pretty regular basis and spur of the moment changes and be able to fly by the seat of your pants on occasion ' and just go! I'm truly seeking long term only as life's too short! I'd like to possibly meet for coffee and obviously start there just to see if we. have chemistry! Without that everything else is a futel enterprise. Maybe a glass of wine, coffee possibly dinner or a walk downtown by the beach/river and see where things go maybe even cook something and watch a movie or listen to some music and shoot some pool, grab some cappuccino and tiramisu with that special woman and possibly go back to one of our places and get to know each other as I believe every aspect of everything and everyone is special and don't take sharing lightly,is honesty, dedication, loyalty just a facade these days? I hope not,is there a woman out there that can prove me wrong? I hope so, I've been generous too a fault and It's caught up to me and I can't understand it? Quality not quantity is what I'm seeking! Where are you pretty woman? Let's talk. Sincerely,Steve

"If your profile is really lame it won't matter how good your message is."As I sat down to write this new profile and spotted that little nugget of wisdom, another successful Daddy Weekend in the books, a week of promise and change ahead, I was struck. Lame profile? It won't matter? Matter to whom? What am I selling, and who is buying? I almost shelved it in favor of a beer with the boys, or Skyrim and laundry. But I'm nothing if not an optimist, so maybe the right person is out there, on this site or another one like it, ready to take another whirl. And sometimes the search is fun, too. So..."I'm not a smart man, but I know love what love is." And what it isn't. Appreciating (or at least accepting) one's idiosyncrasies as complementary to your own, is. Spending time with someone you have nothing in common with because you're afraid of being alone, not so much. Picking your battles = yes. Putting up with constant BS = no. Walking through a minefield every day? You get the idea.If you're reading this, you're probably a work in progress to one extent or another. I am too. I read, listen, push, run, and pedal, all to hopefully wake up tomorrow a little better than I am today. That said, today I'm, well, pretty decent. I'm kind, thoughtful, wicked funny, and not an idiot. I have a tendency to get out of traffic tickets because the officers appreciate my honesty. I'm not making that up. I'm not perfect, but I'm working at it, and if genes are any indication (height apparently skipped a generation), I've got time. I remember every phone number and address I've ever had, but I misplace my keys/wallet/phone/ID badge at least once a day. I have my own wavelength; it's adjustable up or down depending on the situation, but generally likes to stay where it is. I'm basically fearless, and while kids and the rising cost of health care may have dialed up my risk aversion a little, I'll still try just about anything. Are you active, well-intentioned, and not likely to be jealous of the time I spend with my kiddos? That's a start. The rest, including but not limited to, and in no particular order: articulate, easy smile, open minded, responsible, witty, reasonably honest, outdoorsy, not a raging psychopath. Are you awesome? Fantastic. Awesomer than me? That's okay, I'll catch up."Dig me up from under what is coveringThe better part of me." Nothing that involves meeting at a park for a kids' play date. The last time I did that, my son got in a fight.

I'm an easy going guy with a great sense of humor. I'd like to meet a confident woman who is happy with herself & is looking for a best friend to share her day with. I can be a little sarcastic at times so you need to be the kind of girl who can dish it out as well as take some playful fun. I am a guy who loves watching sports and if i get the chance I'll pick up a bat and play.I am the father of two children. Daughter 9 and son 6. Family is very important to me. I'm also working on getting a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. Meet for coffee or a bite to eat in a casual setting.

’m still a newbie to the area. And yes, I do have the accent and I LOVE the Patriots! I’ve decided that I’m ready to get out and see what the local dating scene holds, and hoping it isn’t quite the disaster that I’ve heard from my friends. I work for the Government in law enforcement, so in addition to working a crazy schedule at times, the person that I’m looking to date has to be, at the very least understanding, if not supportive to my career choice and law enforcement in general. I’ve been in this line of work for 12 years, and worked very hard to get where I am. I’d like to think that despite being a cop for a long time, I haven’t let my experiences taint my outlook on people (not too much anyway!).I’m told I’m an attractive guy and people usually think that I am much younger than I my actual age. I try to stay in good shape, mostly because it’s important in this line of work.- It seems like image is everything here. I do feel that physical attraction is very important in a relationship, and that it certainly takes effort on both parts. I feel that it is important to continue to put the effort in throughout a relationship and to struggle against the whole “getting comfortable” syndrome, but I feel that long term success depends on being able to communicate and be comfortable with the other person.People I meet in a social environment often are surprised by how easy going I am, most people expect cops to be arrogant and self-absorbed. I respect another person’s right to believe what they want, as long as it isn’t being preached to me. I laugh easy, and can be somewhat loud at times. I enjoy sarcasm, if it isn’t mean spirited, and won’t deny that I enjoy a good argument every now and then. I am also a bit OCD at times, I can’t stand slobs. I don’t scrub stuff with a toothbrush, but everything is neat and has a place. 8 years in the military will do that for you.I have many interests and enjoy all kinds of activities. I have a 9 year old Boxer that is my best buddy, and walk/hike with him usually a couple of times a day. I also own a Harley and love riding. My ideal partner would definitely be into riding, or even better, have her own bike. I like boating and exploring and just seeing what’s out there. I prefer bars to clubs, and love discovering dives with unique atmospheres. I don’t go “clubbing” anymore, I feel like I’ve outgrown the pretentiousness of it. I don’t, and almost never dance, so what’s the point of going someplace where you can’t hear people talk? I enjoy the whole dinner and a movie night with drinks and conversation after. I also don’t mind nights in, cooking (or trying to), hanging out talking, watching TV or reading. It would be great to find somebody that is easy to be around that I don’t have to find distractions from.Although I’m not here looking for “hookups”, I am a sexual person and feel that it is also an important part of a relationship. Some people find it funny to say that, but I’m sure every guy has been in a long term relationship with a woman who acts like a freak until she feels secure in her position, then the sex goes away or, even worse, is used as leverage to control them. If that sounds like you, please move on! I don’t settle for unhappiness no matter how long I’ve been with somebody. I’d love to find a woman with a Jodi Arias appetite, without the whole stabbing/shooting thing, because that’s a deal breaker! Seriously though, I would love to find somebody that is passionate and lusty and who likes to experiment and try new things.

Hey, thanks for stopping by. Just want to know ladies, is it a requirement on Plenty of Fish to say that you don't like drama? It's a bit unrealistic to think that a man and woman in a committed relationship is always going to live a stress free life. It's all about how we handle life's "drama" together that makes the difference. My parents have been married 52 years and have seen their fair share of "drama" (getting so damn sick of that term) staying committed to each other and raising three kids. Anyway I digress. I'm a laid back (most of the time) country boy at heart who is involved in church and loves playing guitar. I volunteer monthly by playing and singing at John E. Looking to meet a good Christian lady (not super religious or perfect by any means but one who knows and loves God) who is affectionate and knows how to treat a man. I'm an animal lover who has a gentle Pit Bull Terrier and several exotic pets that I love dearly. Just bought my first motorcycle and took the safety class so right now I'm having a blast with that! Music is a passion of mine and I like most kinds, but Metal is my favorite (a child of the 80's! A wise man once said "If you meet a pretty girl and she is single, run like hell! Let's prove him wrong. Thanks again for looking and be blessed in all you do!*Update*My headline was supposed to make you laugh with a little bit of odd humor but it looks like some ladies are taking it very literally. I've talked to some absolutely sweet women on here mixed with a few...ummm... slightly unstable ones. No problem, bring the pain! I can handle it. But please don't message me and say, "" Yes I do, and it kicks a**. Or, "So you call yourself a Christian and yet you didn't write me back immediately?." Please leave the "So you call yourself a Christian?" comments out of my inbox. I do call myself a Christian but I never said I'm a very good one. Honestly, I'm not very good at being religious, just a sinner who realizes God cares about me. Read Steve Brown's book, "Three Free Sins" Let me surprise you!
