To be honest, boredom has led me back here...everyone is married and has kids, so none of my friends can just up and go out anymore. Not really sure how much I'm going to put here at this point. But here are a few tidbits to get this going. I am a Christian! That means I have accepted Jesus as my savior. I regularly attend a non-denominational Bible believing church. I began attending this church about a year ago after the difficult decision to leave the church I had been attending for ***years. I'm slowly becoming more active in my "new" church and regularly work in the nursery. What does this mean, you ask? It means that I am SO NOT perfect! There are many areas of my life that need work, but I do work on them. It means that I AM NOT looking for a sex partner. I'm not looking to just hop in bed with someone. I want the friendship and relationship and the whole package. I'm the hand-holding, not afraid of small public acts of affection, goofy type that misses the closeness of a relationship. It's been a while. I have chosen to just be happy being single for quite some time. It was just easier. But, I think I'm ready to put myself out there again.I teach high school (special ed.) math. I am the assistant volleyball & softball coach at our middle school. Teaching high school is more a lifestyle than a job. Many think that teachers are done when the kids are, however, if you were to ask Jangles & Tangles (my cats) they would tell you I'm rarely home before 6pm Many of the kids I work with are from low-income homes that are broken and dysfunctional. I have a student who is in jail right now, who I had to help decide whether or not to take a plea deal, because his mom didn't go to court with him that day. I could tell you horror stories all day long, but the silver lining is that these kids are like my own. I take care of them when no one else seems to want to. I also have a heart for animals. I mentioned my cats above. I only have two. But I am a rescuer of them also. There is a colony of feral & "throw-aways" in the woods behind me. Every winter I take at least 2 to my vet's rescue/adoption program. Last summer, one of my outsiders was shot with a .22. It broke my heart that this sweet cat, who someone had dumped outside, had been shot. Seriously people, spay/neuter your pets!Okay....Now for some things I love! Music, both singing and listening. An amazing novel (mostly sci-fi/fantasy) including vampire stories, but not the gross ones. Movies: all but those gross scary horror ones that give me nightmares. I am a recent Apple convert. I've had an iPhone for years, but bought my first macbook last summer. LOVE IT! It all depends upon who I'm with. :) I can have a good time slogging through the mud, in the back woods if I were with the right person. It wouldn't be an ideal first date... Lol but you get my drift.
