I have aspirations to become a professor to teach pre-service teachers at a university. I am currently writing my dissertation, and am about to finish up my doctorate degree (Ed.D.) this winter/spring at UCI, in Educational Administration & Leadership with an emphasis in Technology Leadership. I hope to get a job at a as a professor in a teacher education program, hopefully within Educational Technology, once I finish.I am a genuine, kind, and good-hearted man who wears his heart on his sleeve and I am not looking for my next relationship, but my best and most lasting one! I want to meet that special someone who makes my heart skip a beat every time I see his smiling face. Someone who is not only my best friend, but my sexy lover under the sheets. Physically, I "tend" to be most attracted to slim, athletic body type guys who are Latino, Italian, or other white men with darker features, oh um like dark hair and blue eyes for ***! Although it is not the most important thing in a good relationship I have learned, for me, the physical chemistry between me and my man has to be electric, that's how I know it is meant to be. I am the type that loves to hold hands and be affectionate when I am feeling it. I also tend to be attracted to guys that have a little bit of and edge (i.e. tattoos are sexy) and are a little more willing to take the lead at times and who can be more outgoing than me, as I can be shy at first, so it is nice when I am with someone who is good at breaking the ice in social situations. I am looking for someone who would like to build a family together. Someone who wants to, or is open to the possibilty of, having children together. An ideal first date for me would be dinner at a nice restaurant sharing great conversation and getting to know one another over a nice bottle of wine. Ok, I really hate these things where you need to "market" Now that that is over with, here it goes....I am somewhat new to the gay lifestyle. Please don't refer to me as a newbie though, believe me, I have experienced it all! I almost ran screaming from the culture shock that I ran into but over the past few years I have come into my own and acclimated to the Gay Community.If you run into me out somewhere I tend to be a bit quiet and reserved which is unusual seeing I am usually quite extroverted when with friends or at work but I tend to warm up quickly once the conversation starts. I have a nice core group of friends that I am fiercely loyal to (I can provide references).I am at that point in life that I would like to stop the serial dating and find that one someone special to enjoy my time with. I don't need that 100% match because that can be boring. I'd like to find someone to share new experiences with, someone that isn't boring and is willing to put up with me (not that i am too much to handle). Also, I do have children so you will have to share me. In my experience I like to put that up front because I have run into some very selfish guys in the past that couldn't understand that and it has been unfortunate because they are pretty good kids (teens so half the time they would rather hang with friends than dad).Well, that's about it about me, I'm sure there are other things that I could list but I'd like to have something to talk about on our first date! First dates I usually like to leave open ended. You will learn that I am not a planner but a spur of the moment type of guy. Typically I like to do drinks or coffee somewhere in the city after work. This seems to work well because if there is nothing there we can shake hands and part ways without any hurt feelings. If there is something more there and an interest to spend time together there is time for dinner, a nice walk, movie etc....One of my favorite dates started this way. Unfortunately after I found out the guy was completely insane, but a good first date nonetheless!

I would say making plans with a guy to meet for drinks and dinner-- where I can really get to know him and what he and I are about and if there is a possible connection.Something like a burger and beers at BRGR or Tessaro's would be great as it's not expensive and on the casual side. I would be ready and excited to learn about someone new and share my life experiences and see how the night progresses from there.
