Hey there!I am a confident, funny, arty girl who loves to put herself out there and try new things, even if it’s hard sometimes…so I thought why not try meetville. Right? I work in fashion which is exciting and challenging every single day, but it is not the best place to meet a potential date….a shopping buddy or someone to talk about “Orange is the New Black” ... YES.... but not date.I lead a pretty hectic life, but I always seem to find time for a new adventure. It is challenging, but when you finally master a new step it’s the challenge that makes the success that much better. I love to dance and have been Swing dancing for about a year also. I only know half the steps, but that’s enough to make a few turns on the dance floor. Plus the guys are supposed to lead so why should I worry.I love being outside and I try and stay active every day. I am an avid cyclist and ride to work every day, partially because I love it and partially because it cuts down on gym time. I go to bootcamp every week, which is amazing, and I practice yoga to relax. Art, pop culture, history and film are also big loves of mine. Hot Doc’s is one of my favorite film festivals because it has the perfect blend of all these things. Plus you never know what you’re going to see that might change your whole day. I love wandering around a museum and TO has so many great museums. If I am really into an exhibit I can spend hours absorbing a show, but at the same time if it doesn’t grab me I can be in and out in 20 minutes. I share my place with my best friend Baelin, a Shih Tzu/ Bichon Frise cross that I adopted 7 years ago. He is just a little guy, but boy does he have spunk. He is mistaken for a puppy all the time and his personality puts a smile on my face every day.I'm looking to meet someone that has an adventurous spirit and isn't afraid to try new things and possibly look silly. A guy who enjoys some of the same things that I do, but also has their own life and interests that they can introduce me too. Someone who is smart, funny, patient and caring, that has passion for what they do in life and has goals for the future.So that is a pretty good overview of me and my life. I'm right in the middle of a career change from teaching to animal advocacy and I've also started work on another degree. I've got a great sense of humor and my feet firmly planted in the ground. I say what's on my mind, think kindness is far too underrated, and love learning about and trying new things.I can't say that there's just one important quality that I'm looking for. It's more like I'll know it when I see it. At a bare minimum he should be honest and kind. He should know how to listen, laugh, and love. Humor is a must - all types appreciated - ranging from dry wit to low brow. Family should be important to him. He should like kids and pets (really just my dog). I'm going to be shallow & say it... All in all I just want someone who will be my partner in life to share and enjoy all of the good simple pleasures that come from sharing your life with someone else. Ok, I Know the above description is on the generic side so here are a few random facts about me:1) I don’t have a favorite color – I like them all.2) I’m terrified of heights but I love flying (the smaller the plane the better).3) I really don’t like talking on the phone. If I can’t talk in person I prefer e-mail, IM, or text.4) I choose wine by the cute-ness level of the label on the bottle.5) I’m not a fan of the gym I'd much rather be doing something outside!6) I think roller coasters are so fun!7) Pizza is my favorite food.8) I will someday be able to say I’ve been on all the continents9) I’ve broken both feet and fractured my skull (not all at the same time).***Coke –***I am truly horrible at math, spelling, and have no sense of direction. Thank-you calculators, spell check, & GPS!***I aspire to one day write a best selling children’s picture book. ***I like it really cold in my room when I sleep.***I love it when people tell me I look like my mother.***Breakfast for dinner is awesome (I make great banana pancakes).***The last 5 songs played on my itunes are: I’ ***I think clowns are creepy. I don't think the 1st date needs to be fancy. What's important is that it is somewhere we can carry on a conversation.
