About Me

Looking for friendship with potential for a long-term relationship. I'm ready to love and be loved. I'm pretty low maintenance but I like someone that will take the time to let me know they're thinking of me...whether it's a text, note or phone call. I’ve got a pretty silly sense of humor, sometimes crass but am ladylike when needed. I like to write poetry, song parodies and create sassy greeting cards. One of my favorite TV shows is Arrested Development…that’ll give you a glimpse of my quirky personality.My friends say I'm crazy....this is the good kind of crazy...fun...make you pee your pants laughing crazy...not crazy crazy. That being said, I'm serious when I need to be.I’m sassy, serious, sweet, romantic, bossy, sentimental, passionate and sometimes crabby. When I’m serious…I’m super-serious : ) I love to spend time with my family and friends. I’ve got 2 children and lots of pets! Country and 80’s music are my favorites but I enjoy all types (except for rap). I love scary movies and haunted houses. Autumn is my favorite season...love the sweatshirt snuggling weather. Corn mazes are pretty fun :)Summer is my least favorite season...but I do like hanging by the campfire when it's chilly out. I've been separated since Dec '11 with hopes of my divorce being final by Jan '14. Last December I lost my PT, in-home office job and reignited my FT employment search once my son was in school FT. My background is in business but I also teach art classes and am employable in the spa industry. I'll need someone who's understanding of my frugality as I pursue a career that I both love and that will allow me to support my family. *******NOW FOR THE PART THAT WILL POSSIBLY TICK SOME OF YOU OFF...I'm allergic to cigarette smoke so a nonsmoker is preferred.     So as to not waste your time - I am only interested in men who are between ***, at least 6' tall, physically fit and are NOT religious... if that describes you, please proceed...About me... Jogging with my dog in the morning gets me out of bed and my day started. Cross Fit a few times a week has become an addiction. And I play a little tennis for fun. NOTE: I am not a fan of jogging... I suppose the only time I prefer to run is when I am being chased and even then, I am more likely to push a kid off his bike to make a getaway rather than try and out run you. Seriously.Music makes me happy. I cannot carry a tune but will often sing aloud, and play air guitar, much to everyone’s dismay. I believe there is a petition to ban me from the park where we “run.” Admittedly however, it is likely due to the fact that, one time, I really did grab little Billy’s bike... I’d like to think no one saw me, but?!My friends would tell you that I am both fun and funny... That I have a knack with power tools... I drive too fast... I am a great cook... I can talk to anyone and make everyone feel comfortable... and that I am quick to try and make people laugh. In fact, I laugh often and usually at myself.I will tell you that I am happy and I wake up in a good mood. I am independent, honest and kind. Re power tools, luck is the only reason I've kept my fingers and toes... but I am no stranger to DIY. I absolutely drive too fast, so now I have blindfolds and crash helmets in the car. I also believe myself to be smarter than the average bear… however, I've never met an "average" bear, so my theory continues untested. By now you are asking yourself “what’s not to like?" (handyman and driving skills notwithstanding). Well, I do have this unfortunate habit of using ellipses (…) to excess, as you’ve likely noticed by now. Could be a deal breaker for some. Me… me… me… enough about me… YOU?You are between 40 and 52, at least 6'0 tall and are smart, driven and have your shyt together. You are honest, kind and can laugh at yourself. You should also enjoy food... if you are a fussy eater - we are not compatible. Because you enjoy food, you MUST get some kind of exercise, with some regularity... this doesn't mean you need washboard abs, but if your ass is on the couch more than off of it - we are not compatible.Oh and... If all you have is the "selfie" bathroom pic, shirted or not, do not bother to contact me. It screams two things - CHEEZY and that you perhaps don't have any friends... surely there has to be someone who can take a picture of you, with your clothes on, somewhere other than in the bathroom?!

    I like to laugh and make others laugh as well. You may find me bebopping to live music, having a meal with friends, seeing a movie, or simply relaxing on the deck with a glass of wine. My job allows me to take fourteen weeks of vacation a year, and I take full advantage of that time.And you? You like who you are and there's a sense of adventure in your spirit. You're honest, affectionate (I'm not clingy, but I like a little pda, and definitely like cuddling). You can laugh at yourself and the ironies of life. Your heart likes to give as much as you receive. You cherish friends and value family and friends, even if they aren't perfect (mine certainly aren't!...But they're awesome!) Going out on the town is fun, yet you can also indulge in a quiet evening at home. Like me, you love to travel and explore the many things this world has to offer. You take care of yourself, both physically and mentally, yet you can let loose on once in a while. Most importantly, you are a good communicator.
