Woman. 38 years old. Zodiac sign: Gemini.
Looking for: man. In age: 35-45
Prerequisites: Christian•Not Married•Not Separated (that's still MARRIED!) No shirtless pics (looking for a modest man)• No drinking/drunk pics (looking for a man with class & a grown up)• I am a hopeless romantic that wants very much to believe in true love and soulmates despite the fact that I am now ***or 29 for the 9th time as my sister and I prefer to say) and still have not found it...or it hasn't found me, whichever is correct. I thought I had a few times but I was sadly mistaken. Maybe it's not even about "soulmates," but rather two people wanting the same things, attracted to each other mentally, emotionally, and physically, and here is the important part... committed to stand by each other through lifes twists and turns, heartaches, and growing pains. But, I know of a few couples my parents included that were true blue soulmates... so I still believe. I am an independent woman and mother but not so independent that I don't realize that I would be so much better with a life partner. I want him to be my best friend and lover. Unfortunately for me, most of the men I hear from must only read that word "lover," and the rest of my profile is a complete blurrrrrrrrrrr..... Because, it has been my experience that most of the men that have asked me out from here are looking to hook up and nothing else. I am a little too grown up for that. I am after all...a lady. And I still believe that there are some gentlemen out there in the sea of fishies. It is my passion to work with survivors of trauma and eventually get into social policy. I am also a mother of five, yes five amazingly beautiful and fantastic children. If you are still reading this then you obviously did not freak out at the number five so I will disclose a little more info about my entourage. I have four daughters ages 19, 13,11, and 3, and a son who is 17. I share custody of my son and the next two girls. ( I was in a relationship with the oldest fours' father for nearly 13 years; that ended in ***And, my youngest is from a different father, she is primarily with me (I was with her father for 5 years). I'm saying this up front because the question, "are all your children from the same father?" is really tacky and I'd rather just avoid it all together. This way if you ask...I'll know you didn't bother to read my profile. I will not tolerate any form of abuse or ownership in any of my future relationships...been there, done that and I do not care to repeat the cycle. Two people who care about each other should never purposely hurt each other whether it's with words or actions. I've been cheated on and I know how badly that hurts. I have never nor would I ever cheat on someone. I have never understood why people even bother to get into a relationship if they are still wanting to sleep around or date other people. Also, I am not into open relationships... so please do not ask me out if this is something you fantasize about or God help you...practice. I'm completely disgusted by it. Eventually after I am finished with school which will be spring of ***, I would like to keep my options open to either moving somewhere more beautiful with water and mountains preferably or settling into the country somewhere here in Oz. I am a country girl at heart and always will be. Then my mama (a single mom most of my life) moved us to the city... Both places are very much home to me. I have family in both Indy and Pa., but most are in Pa. I do miss it there. My daddy died when I was almost 4. He and my mama were soulmates... in fact she did not find love again until 3 years ago. I sincerely pray to God that I am not a senior citizen before I find my true love. I would like to find a man who takes the lead with our relationship. I do believe men and women are especially created to fill certain roles. I want a man who knows how to lead without controlling. I want and require a man who will adore me. I like a lot of attention and I'll let you know if I'm not getting enough or I'll simply lose interest. Any place that we can interact and get to know each other better is fine. Some things I like are nice restaurants, cafes, hole in the wall diners, Final Fridays, First Fridays, concerts, the zoos, museums, anything outdoors, extreme sports, movies (but not on the first couple dates), church, FLYING, and amusement parks.

**** Please don't message me if you don't have a photo of yourself, or anything written in your profile. I feel like I've taken a bit of time to describe myself - I would hope you can do the same. Also, please don't send me one-liners, or things that suggest you're looking for a random one-night fling. Not for me! ***Hi there!I've been here in the DC area for almost ten years. I have a great job - a wonderful circle of friends and even though I've lived here as long as I have, I can still find new and fun things to do! I would describe myself as fun, sarcastic at times - and passionate about the things I love. I love to laugh. Usually I'm laughing at myself. Some of my favorite things include traveling abroad (I have been to many countries, but there is still so much more to see) I would love to put together a trip to New Zealand or South Africa this year. UPDATE: This is not going so well. The Weather was amazing! I will certainly keep these other plans on the docket for the future.I love to snow ski. Now I can't go one season without getting out to the Rockies. East Coast skiing just doesn't do it for me.I very much enjoy my yoga classes and jogging several times a week. I've recently picked up pilates and it's totally kicking my butt - in a good way. I used to ride horses through college and then professionally, (hunter-jumper) though I seldom have time now. I can still coach and try to squeeze in a lesson and some time in the arena every now and then. Spending time with friends is always important so as to catch up with one another, share life lessons and of course gossip ;) I love wine tasting and trying out new restaurants in the area. I also know how to relax very well and own several cute pairs of pjs that get put to good use on the weekends. Fall is finally upon us and I'm really excited because it's my favorite time of year. I'm dying for the weather to really cool down because I can't wait to break out my sweaters and boots. I much prefer the cold over the hot weather, hence my itch to head up to the mountains and ski. (see para 3).Family is very important to me and I try never to break promises. Friends tell me I'm a great to have around, because I'm very loyal and kind. I'm much more of a relationship person than a dating kind of person. I'm definitely looking for a great relationship - someone who can be a fantastic and loyal friend and partner. My biggest love language is "acts of service," so if you are familiar with the love languages, you probably know what that means ;) I Also enjoy "quality time" and "physical touch." The love languages are important keys to any relationship! What are yours? So what am I looking for? I'm looking for someone that has good values, treats others the way they would want to be treated - and loves God. I don't expect you to be a religious person or go to church every Sunday, but I'm definitely a believer and I would hope that my partner is as well. I grew up Catholic, but I am open and welcoming of all religions. To be truthful, I really only go to church on Christmas and Easter - and maybe Ash Wednesday, (shh, don't tell my mom) but I do love my faith - and I'd like to find someone who cares about theirs as well.MUST LOVE KIDS AND DOGS! I have two dogs, and would definitely love to have a family someday, so if you consider yourself one of those guys that never sees yourself having kids, I'm definitely not the one for you. ...and to sum it up, I'm really just looking for a partner that can be my best friend. Someone who will laugh with me, is not afraid to cry with me - and someone to be vulnerable with. If you consider yourself to be loyal, a great listener, a good friend and ready for a real relationship. (NO GAMES!) Please, get in touch! My idea of a great first date might include a trip to a local winery for a tasting, some great music, a picnic and a little star gazing. This would be after an initial meet-up of course ;)
