I was born and raised in a very small farm town in upstate NJ. Growing up I was that scabby kneed tom girl who's favorite things were to climb trees, ride bikes, play in the mud, play freeze tag, and catch fireflies! Disclaimer: Another words ~ since I could walk I've been an outside kinda girl. So, if your idea of a fun weekend is to sit on the couch all day and watch sports (or TV in general) don't bother messaging me...it's a waste of our time. I left that small town and joined the Marine Corps soon after high school. Very early in life I married a fellow Marine to whom I was with for 14 years and married to for 12 years. I have two extremely beautiful, talented, and well behaved girls who are now 15 and 11. Much of my free time is spent involving myself in their school activities, sports, and most importantly raising young ladies. In my spare time I like to work in the yard/garden, run, swim, cook, travel, read, camp, fish, shop, watch movies or relax with my two girls. I enjoy staying busy and making the most out of my life each and EVERY day. The truth is, I can have a good time doing just about anything! I am passionate about spending quality time with my family and friends. What I am looking for... A man who is up for anything; a spontaneous weekend trip or just relax in the pool and day drink on the patio. I have a great job - a wonderful circle of friends and even though I've lived here as long as I have, I can still find new and fun things to do! I would describe myself as fun, sarcastic at times - and passionate about the things I love. I love to laugh. Usually I'm laughing at myself. Some of my favorite things include traveling abroad (I have been to many countries, but there is still so much more to see) I would love to put together a trip to New Zealand or South Africa this year. UPDATE: This is not going so well. The Weather was amazing! I will certainly keep these other plans on the docket for the future.I love to snow ski. Now I can't go one season without getting out to the Rockies. East Coast skiing just doesn't do it for me.I very much enjoy my yoga classes and jogging several times a week. I've recently picked up pilates and it's totally kicking my butt - in a good way. I used to ride horses through college and then professionally, (hunter-jumper) though I seldom have time now. I can still coach and try to squeeze in a lesson and some time in the arena every now and then. Spending time with friends is always important so as to catch up with one another, share life lessons and of course gossip ;) I love wine tasting and trying out new restaurants in the area. I also know how to relax very well and own several cute pairs of pjs that get put to good use on the weekends. Fall is finally upon us and I'm really excited because it's my favorite time of year. I'm dying for the weather to really cool down because I can't wait to break out my sweaters and boots. I much prefer the cold over the hot weather, hence my itch to head up to the mountains and ski. (see para 3).Family is very important to me and I try never to break promises. Friends tell me I'm a great to have around, because I'm very loyal and kind. I'm much more of a relationship person than a dating kind of person. I'm definitely looking for a great relationship - someone who can be a fantastic and loyal friend and partner. My biggest love language is "acts of service," so if you are familiar with the love languages, you probably know what that means ;) I Also enjoy "quality time" and "physical touch." The love languages are important keys to any relationship! What are yours? So what am I looking for? I'm looking for someone that has good values, treats others the way they would want to be treated - and loves God. I don't expect you to be a religious person or go to church every Sunday, but I'm definitely a believer and I would hope that my partner is as well. I grew up Catholic, but I am open and welcoming of all religions. To be truthful, I really only go to church on Christmas and Easter - and maybe Ash Wednesday, (shh, don't tell my mom) but I do love my faith - and I'd like to find someone who cares about theirs as well.MUST LOVE KIDS AND DOGS! I have two dogs, and would definitely love to have a family someday, so if you consider yourself one of those guys that never sees yourself having kids, I'm definitely not the one for you. ...and to sum it up, I'm really just looking for a partner that can be my best friend. Someone who will laugh with me, is not afraid to cry with me - and someone to be vulnerable with.
