I am a mom to a great teenager. He keeps me busy. I help out on the family farm or business when they need me. I like to volunteer. I also like to cook. Clean up is my down fall ..lol but it gets done. I listen to country and rock music. I like to go to st. louis. I live in the woods and love it. I like to watch rediculnesless, action packed movies, or go to horse shows, or shooting guns. I am a well rounded person lol. I am looking for someone who wants and has the time to go enjoy life. I also stop for antique shops and garage sales. What works for both of us.

I'm rather shy at first, but get me laughing and we'll have fun. I'm a lot geeky and sometimes a little nerdy. By day, I'm a software support specialist working remotely for a software company in DC. At night, I enjoy the company of good friends while debating the latest comic books, geeky TV series / movies, or just hunkering down around a table for game night. When I'm not hanging with friends, I might be challenging a new computer game or diving deep into a new book.I've recently started exploring the fabulously analog task of Knitting / Crocheting which has been an interesting departure from my usually high tech fueled life. I'd also like to spend more time in nature and have a plan to hit up the local parks for some weekend meanders through the woods which will be nice after spending the week cooped up inside in front of a computer. Maybe you'd like to join me? :)The only absolute criteria I have is that you have to be a NON-SMOKER. I have allergies which go crazy around smokers. Otherwise, I would like to find someone who is okay with me being me. I have a quirky sense of humor which sometimes borders on inappropriate - but I definitely love to laugh. I'm also something of a romantic, so it doesn't hurt if the person is willing to indulge me with romantic gestures every now and then :) They don't have to be expensive or grand gestures either - a little note or just some way to let me know you're thinking of me. Maybe Shakespeare in the Park or a barbecue. Nothing too fancy or over the top. A picnic lunch while enjoying the outdoors and having a good conversation would also be nice.

I hate doing this "about me" stuff but here it goes...I am a hard worker & so naturally I work alot of hours. I enjoy my job but I confess there is no feeling like walking in the front door & leaving the work day behind the closed door. I like to unwind by cooking. I'm no Master Chef but I enjoy it. I just like cooking for people and them enjoy the food I make.I love going to the mountains. I take my time. Anyone who rushes through the mountains didn't come to truly enjoy them, imo. I feel at peace & serene there and I have no intention of rushing that away. I don't camp really, not to say I won't, but I enjoy taking a few short easy trails. I also love going to the beach. Any beach. Sand...salt water...quality seafood. I'm there!! A piece of me is always with mother ocean. I enjoy or can appreciate most types of music. Well except for Darius Ruckers version of Wagon Wheel. That is just abysmal. That song belongs to Old Crow Medicine Show. Period. Case closed. I used to like hip hop R&B till lately. Maybe it's my age but saying my woman turns tricks for $1 just aint gettin it for me. You may have guessed from above, I am a Parrothead. I drink my boat drinks from a tin cup chalice and it's always 5 o'clock in Margaritaville. Fins Up!! I enjoy meeting new people and developing new friendships. One may have that potential but I leave those things in Gods hands. What He wills for me will be so. I'm not a major frills girl. I am a bit old school though in that I like a man to surprise me. I make so many decisions at work it's nice when I unwind to not have the pressure to make another. A little bit of thought goes a long way with me.
