Let me start out by saying that i've not been in a relationship for over ***yrs. so, i'm not desperate and i know exactly what i'm looking for! I am a good woman with a big heart that is honest, respectful, loving, easy going, good listener. I try each day to be positive, thank God and my faith for another day and not be around people that are negative! It doesn't take much to make me happy, i'm pretty low maintenance, lol. Family is very important to me! I have 1 grown son that i'm very close to that's married, he served 5 years in the Marines, and now has a great job, i'm just so very proud of him! I guess you could say, i kinda like doing spur of the moment things, going to concerts, camping, bonfires, hey...i even like hunting and fishing, even though i haven't done that in a long time, but it's not mandatory, lol Just doing things outdoors, little bit of a homebody too. I like to garden, pretty neat to plant things and watch them grow! I like to cook and bake at times. Looking to find that special man to be in my life and grow old with! Music has always been a part of my family growing up, so now i'm trying to pick up some tunes on my guitar, and learning the keyboard...LOL (I really am practicing with it!) Thanks to help from family, I now have a sunroom overlooking the water and a 'woman cave' in the works in the basement. I like baking, sometimes cooking but I'd rather be playing Rock Band and let someone else do the cooking LOL. Ok, I can compromise, so we cook together and then play Rock Band together. This is my new favorite winter hobby ... learning to play an *** vocals. My body can no longer handle the cold weather... brrr. I do like to traveI and would aspire to spend a month or two in a warm climate in the winter. I love exploring.I am happy, intelligent, witty, goofy, playful, caring, responsible and a community volunteer.Good things happen to me because I choose to focus on .... good things! LOL.I am a people person, love meeting new people and hope to travel more in the futureI like playing on the lake all summer - swimming, boating, reading a book, bird watching, watching my brother fish...I love eating vegetables grown in my garden and am building a perennial garden with pathways.I'm a very casual, earthy girl who also loves to get dressed up for an occasional dinner out.I spend a lot of time with family and sometimes travel to see them. I live in a nice house and have nice things but I'm not perfect, I don't expect you to be perfect.I don't care what you drive or what you own. I care about who you are and what you have done with your life and intend to do in the future.I have many interests and I have listed them all before, but I think that just confused people. I have experienced a lot in the 51 years that I have been here. Life is always expanding, growing, learning and I am interested in participating rather than watching. What have you been doing for the past 40, 50, or 60 years?I am retired from the software industry and after a short stint buying and selling antiques, I'm now sticking with buying jewelry wholesale which I sell on eBay and rent space in a local store. This is 'fun' money. I am financially stable and love living a simple lifestyle. I volunteer for 2 non-profits and do whatever I can to help from painting, fiberglassing and sweeping floors to building and updating websites! I am thankful to have the opportunity to meet and talk to new people!I would love to find a man with integrity and intelligence (can't stress that enough - my daughter is a Fulbright Scholar). A man who is positive, loving and wants to have fun, laugh, and finds the silver lining in all situations. Drama and games are not allowed in my life. If we are not a match then we should move on because .... there are plenty of fish ;)I am looking for a longterm, serious relationship but would love to start it out with some casual conversation and get to know each other.
