I am an open book to a fault. I can be having the worst day (week, month, year) and still do whatever I can to make others smile or laugh. The two in the middle are pretty grown and reside with their dad and stepmom (whom I simply refer to as their 2nd mom because she's awesome.) I do see them as much as possible and focus on quality over quantity since they're pretty much grown. I joke about my youngest being an alien because she's extremely smart (not just my opinion. she's in advanced classes) and because her observations are spot on quite often, well beyond her years. She has a father. I'm not looking to replace him. I do wish to find someone who can appreciate her though. I love ALL of my kids but she is the one with me most days that relies on me for everything. I need to find someone that believes that a woman can be fully devoted to them while at the same time tending to her child. So, if that hasn't scared you off, I'm a great catch (lol). I really do have a lot to offer that special person that takes the time to get to know me, not just my profile. Looking forward to "meeting" you. First dates can be very intimidating. I think a first date can depend on a few things. If the two of you have talked on the phone for hours you're likely to be much more comfortable making plans for a longer date. If you've only exchanged a couple of messages? It's likely more of a "let's do lunch" kind of thing. The one thing I do prefer for a first date is the ability to actually converse and get to know one another. In other words, a movie does not necessarily make for a great first date. If the chemistry isn't quite there something like that can make a theater feel like a prison. :-)

I believe in laughing a lot and treating others with compassion. As single mom, my most important role is being a good mom and making a home for me and my 13 year old son. I do not have much free time since I work full time and I have full custody of him. I make a lot of decisions at work so I'm totally fine with someone else making suggestions about what to do. With the right company, anything can be a good time. I'm most comfortable being a home body but I do like to go out and be treated like a lady also. The bottom line is that I know how I should be treated. I treat everyone with respect and I expect the same. Don't get me wrong. I like to cut loose and have a good time. My time is just very valuable.. no time for games. I am looking for a true companion...someone that is ready to share part of his life with me and mine with his. I tend to be a bit quiet at first, but when the right person comes along I can be outgoing and silly. It's all about the chemistry. To be honest, the first date would depend what I have in common with my date. I love romance, but can also go out for drinks, coffee or a movie.
