Let's see. What should you know about me? 1) I can do simple algebra and think on my own from time to time. 2) I love going to the gym and working out. Weight lifting is a personal fave of mine. (Could always use a good spotter... let me know if you're interested. You don't need to worry. I can't lift a ton.) Moving on.... 3) A guy I work with told me I was pretty once. 4) I tend to use sarcasm a bit too often in my daily interactions with others. 5) Even if I feel like I wish I had never gotten out of bed that morning, you would probably still find me with a smile on my face. 6) I have a great job in the healthcare industry that I LOVE. I love it so much that, if asked nicely, I have no problem spending a lot of my time doing it. While that kind of dedication makes it harder to meet people, it's also a big plus for the people I meet. I'm starting to learn that too much dedication can be as much of a hindrance as it is an asset though. In all honesty, I tend to spread myself pretty thin trying to make those around me happy. It just makes me feel so great to try and show someone that, even though they might not feel like it at that moment, they are definitely worth someone's kindness and attention. What am I looking for? Let me just say that I don't take myself too seriously and I don't really get along with people that take themselves too seriously. Yes, I believe you when you say that you have big plans and that you push yourself 110% every day to reach the loftiest of ambitions, but do you know how hard it is to relax around a person like that? Remember that job that I spend a lot of time at? About 87.5% of my time (real figure there... okay, maybe not really) at work is spent making sure that someone doesn't die, doesn't get sicker, and will hopefully be able to live the life they want to live. That's a lot of pressure, and I take THAT seriously. When I get off work, I want to relax and think, see, or talk about something that doesn't weigh down my existence with soul-crushing intensity. Now don't get me wrong. I know the world has problems, and when I get to know you well enough, I'll discuss with you all of the fool-proof plans I've thought up to mend each and every one of them. However, I don't want to continually immerse myself in the world's neverending list of shortcomings. What I really could use right now is just someone to hang out with and joke around with. If all of that works out, then the rest of it will hopefully fall into place :) Getting ice cream downtown and sitting around outside talking and watching people wonder by....

Hello, welcome to my profile. I'm a fun, independent, busy, intelligent woman who is looking for someone special in my life. While I'm usually occupied with work or volunteering (animal rescue), I am looking to squeeze someone into that schedule. I like to do a variety of things...drinks, movies, dinner, sports (playing & watching), home improvement projects (I'm a DIYer) and many other things as well. I'm not opposed to trying anything, at least once. While I'm a small-town girl at heart, I do love living where there's more activity...-) I'm generally listening to R&B or HipHop (I grew up in the 90's so I can't help it) and then whatever Pop might be on the radio. I enjoy all types of movies except for SciFi. I do try to exercise a few times a week to try to stay a bit healthy but I'm certainly not too serious about it.I am looking for that traditional male-female dynamic that my loving, educated grandparents shared.; someone who can make me laugh, keep my attention and someone I can respect. Please, if you plan to contact me, be capable of composing a sentence and holding a conversation. A first date needs to occur somewhere that conversation can take place, lunch, dinner, drinks, anything like that. No specific requests :-) The thing that makes a "perfect" first date is not the location...
