About Me

I have come to the conclusion, I'm not what most men are looking for.... Being a single mom to a wonderful 9 year old boy and looking out for my father who has dementia, doesn't leave much free time in my life. I believe I'm doing exactly what God wants me to do, and bottom line is that I am a family person-I am looking for a Christian family man. I love going out and having fun at hockey games, fairs, airshows, Dave & Busters...you can have fun doing anything especially if you are with the right company. I love music of all kinds, depending on my mood that day. Some of my faves include Pink, Switchfoot, Skillet, Nickelback, 80's music, whatever plays on Star 94, but not really big on country. I enjoy cooking (maybe it's more eating my cooking), try to live a healthy lifestyle and try to laugh as much as possible. I can be a little nerdy and would like someone who gets my sense of humor-many do not...I can dress up really nice and can be just as comfortable in jeans playing ball in the park.I believe in getting to know someone as a friend first and see where things go from there. If you can't be a friend, than you definitely can't be anything more. I hope one day to find a good man to share a personal and spiritual journey with...One thing that I have to throw in here that sucks and has been a big deal-breaker in the past...I'm allergic to animals (dogs and cats) and can't have them in my home/or be in a home with them.     I am looking for someone to have fun with.I just graduated with my bachelors degree in psychology and will hopefully start the masters program in June.If that right person comes along I want to slow my busy schedule down because I can not let life just pass me by. I am in to dancing not really club dancing but social dancing, like ballroom such as the type of dances you would see on dancing with the stars. I do take ballroom dance classes as I have been dancing other styles for over 18 years. I do work in the medical field and that can be a stressful job in it's self. But I try to leave that at work. Working full time and going to school full time was hard work but I have managed it for over three and a half years and it has paid off. I am looking for someone who can be independent but be there for me when I need the emotional support which is really not that often but just a best friend and a partner. It does not happen over night and the thing is I do not want it to. It needs to take time, build trust and respect for anything to work. It's hard to describe yourself but I guess I will try I am 4'11 and always the shortest person anywhere I go and that's how it's always been which is fine with me.I am always up for a good challenge and a new adventure nothing really surprises me anymore so when people do catch me off guard an surprise me I think it is fantastic. One of the things that I do enjoy doing is going to concerts especially country concerts. I could go to one every weekend if I did not have so much to do right now. One of the things that I eventually want to do is go to CMA music fest for the whole week I believe that would be great. On a first date I like to be surprised. But if I do meet someone new they may have discovered a place that I have not been to yet and I might really enjoy it. I am always up for anything new and I will usually try anything once.
