Hello there! I came to the area for grad school and fell in love with the university and people (and haven't left since). I really enjoy getting involved within my community (with things like church, doing service, and just taking in things like festivals, dancing, dining, etc). I am pretty out-going, and will try just about anything as long as I'm in good company (i.e. rec league kickball & flag football, MCM 10k, musicals, tubing, skiing, travels, etc. I'm excited I went sailing for the first time this summer and can certainly understand the addiction :)). I also love to laugh (and make others laugh). I think you have to be able to laugh at yourself as well...life's just too short to always be serious-everything in moderation, right?!? I also really value good communication...you never have to wonder what's on my mind-I hope you're willing to engage :) I am a music junky-I have some sort of music playing pretty much wherever I am. I like most genres... I guess I'm mostly a top 40's kind of girl? I love to travel. One of my goals is to visit all the continents (well, maybe not Antarctica :)) and all 50 states. So...next on my list is Australia and stateside I need to make some plans to travel to the west coast a bit more.So...that was a lot about me...what about you? I am looking to meet someone whose faith is important and it's likely that if our values aren't similar we might not make it very far. Also, with the pictures-I am not usually impressed with pics of everyone half naked...leave something up to the imagination and to discover together...pics in which you're smiling will really sell things for me :) I also value someone who is independent-I am looking for a partner in crime, but will not disregard all the other friendships in my life to make that work. Finally, I find myself in a little jam-I find it very attractive when men are active in their children's lives (as I see this as an expectation of any parent), but I have to be honest...I have little dating experience with guys with children...please just know that I'll need some grace with that if that's something we would have to navigate as well.I hope you'll drop me a line! :) I really can be flexible...I would love a good conversation over drinks or coffee or dinner, but I also would love trying something new in a neighboring city or even going for a walk downtown.     Let me start off by saying I am SUPER PICKY!!!!! If you are crazy, psycho, have a ton of DRAMA..please don't contact me.     I believe everyone has some sort of "foundation" that has made them who they are. I have two supportive and great parents that to this day remain happily married. My parents have always taught me to dream big and work hard to acquire them. I became a registered nurse and absolutely love what I do and there isn't a day at work that I don't enjoy. I believe helping people has a great reward. I work ***hour shifts which makes it nice to have free time. I live my the motto-work to live not live to work. I would love to advance my nursing career later in life. Through life's journey, I have divorced and had two exceptional children-a son who is 7 and a daughter who is 5. I share joint custody so I have them one week on and one week off. They are of course my first priority always in life. Being healthy is quite important to me-so I exercise regularly to stay in shape. I have a very optimistic view on life and so I always make it a priority to be smiling. I believe in Jesus and attend church regularly. Things I enjoy doing-hiking, walking, cranking the radio in my car and jamming out to whatever I may be listening to, reading. I enjoy listening to mostly country music, no rap unless I'm dancing!What am I looking for? A man who knows how to treat a lady-holds the door open, gives his jacket up to the lady he's with if she's cold. Confident yet not****. Ambitious. Health conscious. Willing to attend church or even better already does. Happy with the life he currently has but looking for that final piece-me (LOL). Enjoys being snuggled and hugged. First date is always awkward.
