Ok one last try then it's off to become a monk! I would like to meet someone that is serious about a relationship, I like pretty much any music except hard core rap, love sports, classic cars, hanging out with family and friends over BBQ and a good beer or even a nice wine! Like to dance even though I'm not very good at it, women should always be treated with respect! My kids are grown but I try and spend as much time as I can with them, love my grand babies! The only bad thing I work swing shift, so my only free time is the weekends but I don't have a problem taking a night off for a special someone now and then! If this catches your eye would really like to chat and get to know more about you! p.s. love pda's Meeting for drinks or coffee to get to know each other!

I don't really how to best describe myself, but I will do my best. Well let’s see? I started this online singles search about a year ago and the one thing that I have learned for sure is that love takes time, friendship, and compassion. And hey if it doesn’t work out, well people should still at least be friends. I guess the key is we get what we put into it. I mean really, how well will people get to know each other if all is simply assumed by an online profile or text messages. For the most part I am very goal orientated, live a stable life, and have a side of me that loves to travel. I don't drink and am able to have a great time without the use of alcohol or drugs. I don't have a problem with people who like to have a drink or the 420, it’s just that I choose not to. I will however, out of respect for my own piece of mind, draw the line when things start to appear dysfunctional. I love a good story and am a storyteller by nature or heritage (haven't quite figured that one out yet), some true, some not so true, yet all very entertaining. Oh yea those that lack a sense of humor probable won’t get along well with me either.Any how’s, enough about me....... First dates can always feel a little awkward for me. I might have a little bit of a shy side I imagine, though I usually get passed it fairly quick. I think a first date might consist of a good cup of coffee, some conversation and maybe a walk in the park. Just that time to see if theres a connection and see where it goes. At the very lest, I would hope to have made a new friend (references as a loyal friend available upon request).

So many dating sites share wonderful things about themselves, but what about quirks and idiosyncrasies? They are what ends relationships. I decided *** creating a profile for a first date, I created one to have the 2nd.I would be happy to bore you by telling you how wonderful I am by attaching lots flattering adjectives. I am sure that you have seen this many times before. I believe that words are cheap, but actions speak louder. So, why not start with a bad stuff?1. I am impulsive and restless at times.2. I sometimes stay up too late or wake up too early.3. I've learned as I have gotten older to slow down and see the world around me.4. I'm 30 lbs. overweight. I’m not fat, I’m poofy.5. I tend to be shy at first, but warm up quickly if there is a connection.6. I do not like to watch sports on TV.7. I have not been to a bar or night club in years.8. I tend to stay away from cities.9. I have been divorced since ***and have not dated at all. This is all new to me.How about the good stuff?1. I play softball2. I coach soccer.3. I cook and bake.4. I like gardening.5. I play video games to relax, but I know when to stop.6. I prefer milkshakes over beer.7. I am honest and dependable.8. I like Sci Fi movies.9. I hope to retire in 10 years and devote my time to volunteering at a Senior Center.Honestly I think that most folks don't want a relationship. Seems as though many have an image of the "perfect" match or "soul mate" they are looking for. I wish folks would look deeper than physical attraction.I tend to me attracted to quiet nerdy/geeky women. I don't mind a woman with curves. I don't seem to do well with flashy loud women that need to be the center of attention in the room. What has your experience been? Time to nut up or shut up... (If you know this quote that’s extra points)
