I am a man who works hard and loves people. I also love to relax at home. I keep my home and yard neat. When you own a home there is always something to do. I am quite handy and love learning new things. Electrical, carpentry, plumbing ... yep I can get my hands dirty doing all those things. That being said I don't like heights much so I do have my limitations! I can also fiddle with the car but never have the right tools so that usually ends up in the shop.I am a techno guru. I really am loaded up with technical skills and I teach some of them online. Also am MCDBA and worked on some big .com projects on the developer/database side. When it comes to solving computing problems, analyzing data and/or building things I'm an expert.I also am a humanist and teach children. I love working with kids and learners and I love my own children deeply. There is nothing better than when a child gives you the only thing they have to give. Melt my heart every time!I like nice drives and day trips...more of seeing all those people out there. It doesn't really matter what we are doing I know how to have fun. Even in the bad situations I make the best of it because that's what I am presented with at the time and darnit if I am going to be dragged down.Domestically I enjoy cooking and eating...and I enjoy cooking for others too. O.K. maybe too much cooking and eating LOL. Who doesn't like to eat right? Very few. I spent 10 years as a chef earlier in life and it still pervades my mindset. I guess domestic skills stay fresh because you don't really put them aside. I have done a lot of theater but not in quite a few years now. I love the arts and humanities and am open to exploring the breath and depth of the cultures of the world.I'd like to find an equal to build and share a life with. It's not easy the older we get. I've met a lot of great women and am grateful for that...for whatever reasons it hasn't worked out YET. It's tough with kids and careers and houses and distance and emotions and ...I'd really like to have a chance to let my guard down, be free and enjoy it. But the guard does not just get shed automatically and I am not as good as I would like to be at managing my boundaries. It's always a work in progress but I do try and articulate what's going on for me as best I can. Certain things have to happen over the course of time. The person I need to be with will be patient with me and communicate with me as I will do with her. She is intelligent self-aware and honest. She has good moral character and spirituality. the idea of a first date is quite simply to enjoy ourselves. Let's be real we can do that in a zillion different ways.

There someone out there for everyone but everyone is attracted to different things. Not a fan of facial hair orlarge moles the size of a quarter or larger . Unless of course it would cause significant health risks to have it removed...long hair is nice too! ..Hey I get it I'm only 5'7"..I dated a 6 foot blond once we looked funny when she wore heels!...let's just say we didn't break up over height! Now to more important stuff: I have to boys 17 and 19 they live with their mom I see them often and they stay with me occasionally, its directly proportional to their status on face book. They are smarter than me now too! I love the outdoors and being on or in the ocean,I prefer the beach at night.... too many sunset photos :) Thunderstorms too! live music, more tiki bar style than clubs...for now ;). I love all food except liver; eat as much seafood as I can. I enjoy a good steak too though...Chicken can fill in the gaps! Sushi is good too. I sometimes like to share food when we go out. Not a fan of buffets. I enjoy cloth napkin" dinning as well as wings at a sports bar . Don't worry I still open doors and give flowers for no reason,except that your special. I'll let you sit in the front seat too! You can't hold my hand while we are driving. I need two hands, one for the wheel and the other to text all my friends. You only live once.
