I enjoy the outdoors and would rather find something to do to be outside. I hated pulling weeds then, but believe doing this as a child gave me the love of gardening now. Doesn't matter where I move to, I always find a small plot of ground to dig up :) Yes, I do make home-made meals, no boxes and most of my freezer is filled with fresh frozen veggies. I also own my own sewing machine and I do use it. Now ask me if my children have the same talents......uhhh no. Times have truly changed. Although my oldest daughter who was just married last year is now starting to plant a small vegetable garden. I guess I have started to rub off after all.... This is where my love of fishing comes from.Having 4 girls, my father taught us what we needed to know to take care of ourselves. All of us can tile a floor, *** new faucet or ceiling fan, change a tire, shingle a new roof, or try and fix something broken before getting new. It has come in handy in my past marriage but would like a little help from time to time. I enjoy riding my bike either on the road for great cardio exercise or leisurely through bike trails or neighborhoods enjoying the scenery and the sounds of nature for a relaxing release of tension. I do like to play golf but have not played in a few years. I have played volleyball competitively since high school and this is the first year I have not been on a team because of moving recently. I did however sub on my daughter's team while visiting this summer and I must say, I kept up and felt great! Guess I'm NOT ready to quit yet!I have always wanted to take couples dancing lessons and would love to find a man that is up for the challenge or one who could teach me enough to get around the dance floor.I love music and my passion is wine tasting and smooth jazz, they compliment each other so well, just what I'm looking for - a great pairing with a man sharing my similar tastes and interests. I am an optimist and will NOT settle for negativity.I am so overwhelmed by people on here who just want a "quickie". I'm not like that. The truth is, I do have hope for real true love someday. I enjoy life ... I love to travel, and have traveled extensively for all of my adult life.- and I enjoy watching a good series on Netflix with a glass or two of good wine. I've always been athletic, currently I'm trying to fit my Power Vinyasa Yoga and Overload weight training into my extremely busy schedule. I've been a runner, a boot camp ***, and a competition swimmer. I love the ocean, the mountains, and my children .. both my 30 year old son and 11 year old daughter. They make everything worthwhile and I think that family is so important. I'm a rocker at heart- never missed a Stones tour since I was 14. I believe in God, and have raised my children to be believe and know that there is something bigger and better than us. When I was younger, I dated a Jewish guy that I adored- until he asked me to convert- and have many dear friends that are Buddhist and Jewish. I don't judge anyone- as I said, I'm no angel, and only decide what I can and can't accept as part of my life. I've owned a successful travel business for 15 years, and I've let go when I needed to.- professionally done, and who knows? Might get a tiny diamond dermal on my cheekbone. I'm a hard worker when I need to be, but I LOVE to laugh and be with someone who can make me do so. My humor is definitely on the dry, sarcastic side, and I'm looking for someone who has lived life enough to appreciate it. I'm deep in so many ways, have been through so many "living on the edge" things that have formed the person that I am today - unique is putting it mildly. My ideal pet is a wolf - I'm intelligent, attractive, and do not look anywhere near my age.- destination as yet undecided - in the next couple of years. Why am I on this site? Because I would love to find the guy I've looked for forever, and I've been in enough bars and gyms to know that he's not to be found there. I'm recently divorced after 16 years - people change, and grow apart - no blame, just the facts. I didn't expect to ever get divorced when we were married- but I've found that life is full of the unexpected. You learn and grow stronger from experience, or you quit. Quit is not a word in my vocabulary. I'm looking for a man, not a child in a man's body. A strong man, because I'm a strong woman. Are there any out there???? A trick question - I suppose it would depend on the time of year. Honestly, it's been so long since I've "dated" - it would depend on alot on the person I was dating. I love to be surprised, and would enjoy someone imaginative enough to decide what that might be. Dinner and a movie? Probably not. Anything that would allow us to be ourselves and comfortable, because first dates- as I recall - are sometimes awkward. I remember trying to eat a taco in a polite, tactful way - not fun, and embarrassing. I'm very self aware & self confident, and yet something in me has always responed to a man who is able to take control - without really taking control. I'm quite my own person, and rebel at being told what to do. It's all in the approach at the end of the day - for the right man, I could be the elusive woman you've always wanted. Show me.
