I am a single southern lady who has spent more than the average time in school. I am considered unique partly because of my education, partly because of my open mind, and partly because I have no children, which, in the south is considered 'odd'. I can talk about almost anything, including politics and religion without being offended or offensive. I enjoy being outside, and I live out in the country, where, my neighbors are horses and a llama. I enjoy fishing, especially when I am on a boat. I am a huge critter fan, and I have great empathy for animals.I am an introvert (INFJ, for those who know), and I like quiet evenings at home. That being said, a loud night on the town with close friends or my significant other would be welcomed occasionally.Hobbies... do people even have hobbies anymore? I guess mine would be napping. Coffee or drinks

"wabi-sabi is the Japanese art of finding beauty in imperfection and profundity in nature, of accepting the natural cycle of growth, decay, and death. . . it reveres authenticity above all" - tadao andoBeing a wabi-sabi woman in our American culture can be a challenge. My mother has always told me, "It's not so much that people change, but that they become more truly who they really are." The experience of authenticity, for me, is much more a process of uncovering, that discovering. Lofty words, right? But what does it really mean? My path is the process of figuring that out.I love to read. I love to follow my curiosity down twisting paths of research. I love to combine science, nature, literature and daily experiences into syncretic creations that I can share with clients and congregations. I love to public speak. I love to laugh and have a truly obnoxious appreciation of puns. I love my parents and enjoy long conversations with them both, on a weekly basis. I LOVE my kid! She is the most amazing person I have ever met and has taught me more about how to practice authenticity, in the past 8 years, than I could have imagined possible. I love being a mother and all the opportunities to become a better person that if presents. I love the intense aliveness that I experience when I am intimately connecting with people. I love to listen to people's stories about what is real for them, what makes them come alive, regardless of what that is. Enthusiasm is a huge turn on for me. I have been losing my hearing since I was 5 years old and am now almost completely deaf. I have phenomenal speech-reading skills, and most people would never know how hearing impaired I am. My hearing loss leads to some of my most contradicting realities. I love music, but can't understand lyrics. This may be why most of my favorite music is either world or ***, although I am an avid fan of classic rock. Oh, and the blues - that's a wabi-sabi thing, for sure. I love to listen to people, but often I hear more of what is not being said and that can offend some people. A lot of people hide behind their words, not realizing how much their body language is giving away. Because of the energy it takes, I am not a fan of small talk. I'd rather sit in silence with someone than exchange banalities. I value face-to-face communication above all else, but have a kid-on-Christmas-morning love for technology, too. Texting and FaceTime rock! Good God, I have no idea how to answer this. So much would depend on you! I love to learn and experience new things, and since enthusiasm is such a turn on for me, I can imagine that sharing something you wildly enjoy would work. I can imagine that meeting for coffee or frozen yogurt, over a game of Scrabble or Clue, could be fun. I love taking long drives and motorcycle rides. I really enjoy DIY projects and power tools. I enjoy boating and being on or near the water. I love hiking and discovering new places. I also enjoy cooking (and eating), as well as watching others cook.

I am a girl with old fashion values. I believe in respect, honesty, trust, communication, and commitment. I seek something with substance.Country has my heart and soul! I can cowgirl up with the best them. I know a little about a lot of things, but no official degree. I am goofy and spontaneous! :) I am up beat most of the time, I try to find the good in any situation. I have been here in the South for about a year, but am still finding my way around as well as new things to do. I like mud bogs, quadding, bbqing, 4X4ing, and a plethora of other things! If you wish to know more, drop me an *** hope you have a great day! The first "date" is more like a meeting... an introduction if you will. It takes the pressure off things that way, and then we can decide if we would like to have an official first date. The first meeting shouldn't matter really where we go, as long as we can both talk and get to know each other a bit better. The official first date (in theory) would be great if it were not traditional (ie. dinner and a movie). Besides, how can you get to know each other over a movie? How about going shooting? Oh wait... that may not be good for the FIRST date. LOL Ok, how about mud running? 4Xing? Stargazing? a long drive up in the woods? How about teaching me what lure to use for the fish here? Well, those are some of the things that I think is fun, perhaps you have some other ideas? I am open to trying new things. :)
