This is a crazy way to start off a friendship. I know it. You know it. But let's face it, it is almost unavoidable- so here we are... Reading profiles, trying to separate the lies from the exaggeration. And the exaggeration from the truth. Cool and scary. I live in a pretty small town and it is a difficult place to find single men but a great place to raise kids. So it was a trade off. I figure I am supposed to say: I like the mountains AND the beach.I'm equally comfortable in flip flops or 4" heels. And I'm probably supposed to say I love jeans and my favorite little black dress equally. And I love a cold beer and a nice merlot. At least that's is what they *** in online dating 101. But, seriously? I have a ton of interests and I'm open to lots more- with the right person- all of life is a lot more fun- enjoyable- exciting... Probably coffee or a baseball game.

I am a very down to earth and honest person. I am also a very hard worker, a great Mom, and a very good friend. I don't have a million friends, but I love and cherish dearly the ones that I do have. I am who I am and I do not put on pretenses. I like a man who is confident without being arrogant. I was a stay at home Mom for 16 years and it was the most wonderful job in the world. I love kids. Mine are 23, 21, 18 and 13... 3 boys and a little girl. Two are in college and two are at home. My ex and I have joint custody and the 2 younger children go back and forth between the 2 households.My kids are very active in sports and I would love to meet someone who wouldn't mind hanging out with me at some football, softball and basketball games. My main goal in life has always been to be the very best mom I could be. I take parenting very seriously and I am very good at it. I love all children and they seem to pick up on that and like me very much in return. Right now my life evolves around their activities. I graduated from GA Tech in ***, but never really used my degree. I got married right out of college and started having kids shortly after.My daily life pretty much consists of working, working out, and spending time with my kids. I LOVE to work out and hope to meet somebody who would also be interested in that, although that is not mandatory. I do some sort of cardio 6 or 7 days a week and I do weights 4 to 5 times a week. I am 48 years old and probably in the best physical shape of my life, and it is important to me to maintain that.I really am hoping to meet my best friend!!! I want to be with somebody who enjoys my company as much as I enjoy their company. I want to be excited about getting together and spending time together, whether it is to go for a day hike, go for a run, ride the golf cart, go to the farmers market, take a nap, out to dinner for Thai food, or just stay in and cook and watch a good movie. I am very low maintenance. I don't require much. I am not crazy about shopping, although I do have a favorite consignment store that I like to go to. I love current country music; not so crazy about the old stuff. I also like classic rock.I was raised Jewish but I have been a Christian for a very long time. I have raised my children as Christians. God is very important in my life. I have struggled with my faith at times, but I do believe that He is the reason we are here. I have recently been attending church regularly, which feels really good. It would be nice to share that experience with a significant other. I do believe in true love, though, and I am not going to settle for anything less just to have a boyfriend. I would rather be alone than to do that. I was married 19 years and have been divorced for 7 years. I am a little quiet and shy at first but I warm up pretty quickly. I've been told that I am very easy to get along with. I'm not crazy about this whole dating thing. It feels like a whole lot of work. I know it will be worth it though, when I meet the right guy. I've met a lot of really nice ones, just not Mr. Right. Hey. Glad you are taking the time to read this. I am a morning girl... And while I do enjoy a good movie, I would rather be outside doing anything from learning golf to mowing the grass with a push mower...If it's raining let's turn the music up and act like we can dance. I am looking for a relationship that compliments both parties... Please don't try to control everything I do. I love hiking, singing(I can't do much more than carry a tune, but I am gonna sing with the radio) Comedy is my fave kind of movies. But I don't like scary too much at all. I love to cook, and even more so if you help...I like cutting up and making all situations a lil brighter. My date has got to have a sense of humor and be able to laugh at things that happen in this life.. Hiking is prolly my favorite activity for outside. I like working hard and playing harder.I like the mountains okay(great for hiking) But I love, love,love the ocean..If you play golf and have a little patience well, that's an added bonus. I just started playing but I love it.
