I'm simple; which is different than easy.The guy for me has himself in hand and is curious about the world of possibilities. He's flexible of thought, deed and action. He has a backbone and a toughness, but the confidence, sensitivity and self-awareness to know that not every situation requires a "chief." My guy is funny and sees humor in lots of things; he's an optimist. He's quick to share credit for success and accepts responsibility for his failures and foibles. While I fully expect that he's been through trials and tribulatoins, he'll have conquered the demons of the past and has a firm hand on the leash of any harmful addictions -- the fun ones he'll be comfortable with letting roam free. He recognizes that "perfect" anything is an illusion and that the overcoming of challenges -- the lessons learned from failure and hurt -- are the things that make us each unique. I enoy reading the book, then seeing the movie followed by a discussion/debate of the merits/flaws of both. I'm as comfortable in a pair of flips flops, eating pizza and going to a rock concert as I am dressed to the nines enjoying five-star dining followed by an evening at the symphony. One person's ecclectic is another's snobbery, and I think that's what makes the world an interesting place. Should be casual. I prefer coffee or something where you can be done quickly if things are not going well or linger and share if we're getting on swimmingly! (Chemistry is a fickle, odd thing that can't be predicted. No sense wasting time if everyone isn't on the same page, n'est ce pas?)

Ok, here we go...I have a ten year old son who is amazingly a lot like me. A 23 year old daughter who is turning into me. I am a teacher for inner city high school kids and love what I do. Having the opportunity to help these kids grow and learn ....is a challenge like no other! I love to travel, mostly to the Caribbean. Learning about different cultures, and seeing new places are amazingly interesting to me. My son has been my cruise companion for the past four years! LOL... It's amazing how young my son keeps me!!!! Anyway it would be nice to find a man who is adventurous and willing to go exploring with me alone as well as with my son. I seem to always meet those types of men that don't want to leave the state! You will be wasting our time. Also, my son really hates snorkeling right now, so it would be fun if I didn't have to go in the water alone! Besides the above, I've got a lot a diverse things I enjoy: Dancing, singing in the shower, scrap booking my vacations and friends weddings, swimming in a pool, going to see live bands, playing computer games (my geek side!), reading, writing, going to plays, musicals, movies, hotels, hiking in the woods, canoeing, ....I love a great conversation and I enjoy playing devils advocate once in a while!! My friends are my family. I have known some of my friends since grade school and continue making new friends at my job.
