What do fast food and dating sites have in common? We all post our best dishes and desires for everyone to see and hope someone places an order. We go search page after page of menus to see if we can find something appetizing, or at least something to curb our hunger. When we finally decide, and place an order, we pray we don't get heartburn! I would rather:Read a book then watch TV.Have a long conversation then see a movie.Learn or try something new then the same old thing.Believe something great is going to happen then worry about what if.Have a partner then be alone. My favorite quote:"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."What I want in a woman is hard to say since I haven't met you. Here are some things I miss about not having a partner:The smell of your hair. The taste of your lips.Feeling your touch.Your laughter. The comfort that comes from knowing your there.Your sexy attitude.Feeling your body pressed up against mine, your arms wrapped around me, your head on my shoulder, whispering in my ear, as we cruise down some back road, with no place special to go.Just enjoying each other’s company while looking for our next adventure.Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting holy sh*t what a ride!

I've been a suburban Dad (and "Mom") for a number of years, but with the boys out of the house, I find adjusting to a different lifestyle a bit daunting. I'm still a kid at heart, and trying to balance that with being a "responsible adult" is an interesting challenge. I can be articulate and refined, but can slip into southern working class with ease. Lately I've spent much of my time trying to figure out how I should repair/remodel my house (it's a long story) Update: About halfway done!. I will warn all those who care to know that I have a sarcastic sense of humor that can run a bit raunchy, but it's all in good fun! ;-) I have no clear cut goals, no driving force for money or fame, just to live a happy, content life with someone who enjoys life for the sake of life itself. (sorry, that's the product of being the son of a Social Psychologist!)I hope that there is someone out there who can understand that the quest for wealth and adoration from one's peers is not an affirmation of one's self-worth. Being comfortable doing what you do because it pleases you is most important. I will say that if you are a hardcore conservative or a Tea Party Republican, it's probably best to keep moving. Likewise on the religious front. Not that I don't value one's spiritual relationship with their chosen deity, but I am a humanist at heart, and believe that goodness comes from the individual, not from some all knowing, ethereal being. Don't mean to offend anyone, just trying to be honest. As you might surmise, I try to be as easy going and straightforward as possible and not step on anyone's toes, but at this stage in life, honesty is the best policy, don't you think? As a side note, I've noticed that meetville has taken it upon themselves to send out random "Hey there ;)" notes, both to me and on my behalf from and to other meetville members. Trust me when I say that if you receive such a note from "me", it really is not. I can actually string together words into a coherent sentance or two, and would do so if I contact you. I apologize in advance for meetville's lack of good judgement. Conversely, if I receive such a note from someone, I will not reply, out of respect for your privacy. Just sayin'..... Very casual, like maybe coffee in the afternoon or a drink after work. No pressure, and if things go well, we can plan a more formal or intimate setting. If it all goes South, we still have a few hours left in the day to call our friends and laugh about the disaster! ;-)
