My children are grown and living their lives, so it's my turn now. I dropped a line in this pond last year...lets just say that looking forward leaves room for more opportunities than looking back ever did. :)Everyone has their 'intolerable list' or 'dealbreakers' so I'll keep it simple for you:If you're into the drug scene, please just pass me by.If you're all about 'party time' and drinking all the time, please just pass me by.If you're just looking to 'get some', please just pass me by.If you can't manage to stand on your own 2 feet, please just pass me by.If you don't know the difference between there, their & they're, please just pass me by.It's a bit difficult to follow all that with any of the usual self-professing positive attributes, but what can I say - I've lived some of my life, and in my 42 years, I've learned to be honest and forthcoming....anything less is unacceptable - on either end! Honesty seems to be hard to come by here in this pond....be prepared - I have a 'bullsh*t meter and it's pretty accurate :)Things I like....cottaging, anything outdoors when the weather is nice - sometimes even when it's not! I'm a romantic at heart, so movies in - never really been a fan of the theatres....snuggling....c'mon - I'm a girl! We all like that! Lol....dinner for two, I'm a great cook - my favourite meals to make are big, company's coming dinners...I've been 'fine tuning' my kitchen adventures to lead a healthier lifestyle.........fishing is great, bonfires, I can be comfortable in jeans/shorts & a t-shirt, or dressed to the nines....I'm big on family; mine isn't huge, but they're mine and I adore them....as crazy as they are :) My "pass me by" list is as real as it gets. I've had some 'interesting' e-mails regarding 'the list'.....so I'll break it down for you......The drug scene thing - shouldn't require any explanation. I'm not an angel, nor will I ever claim to be.....but I'm a grown up now, and would hope that you are too. The drinking thing - there's nothing like a cold beer after cutting the lawn on a hot day.....or a glass or two of wine with dinner, but if that beer is the first thing you want when the clock strikes noon, do us both a favour and pass me by :) The standing on your own 2 feet thing - it's pretty self-explanatory....like my profile reads: my kids are grown now! I have no intention of being anyones' sugar momma...lol....I have a fantastic sense of humour - sometimes a bit on the sarcastic side, but funny is funny! I do my best NOT to be hurtful - the karma gods are watching :)Perhaps I'll finish this part later.... Do we really need to call a first meet a date? I'm all for keeping it simple - coffee, a drink....something easy and stress-free for both!

    Update: Have pretty much decided to do some travel nursing starting in January, ***. No longer looking. Fun, Sweet, Independant and Sassy... The beautiful seasons make traveling amazing... Cooking and gardening are a couple of my passions. I enjoy cooking with that special someone and am extremely happy my cousin is successfully attending culinary school.I get to grill(haha) her for new information constantly(or at least as long as she puts up with it).My career has tons of options so I know I will never be bored and always have room for advancement. My long term dreams include living on the water at least part time and traveling more often. I am lucky enough to work days Monday through Friday.Love to explore new locations. Anything from active sightseeing to relaxing on the beach. In the past I have hiked Taquamanon Falls and this year my plan is to camp at Pictured Rock. It helps that my sister lives in the U.P. so I get to see quite a few places off the beaten path.As you can see from my pictures, I enjoy the Tigers. I also attend a few Wings games each year. I attend live music in the summer more often than the winter. And I know this may be a deal breaker for some;) but have been getting more into the New Country, lately.. Still love old fashion rock n roll... Enjoy the blues more than jazz... My kids keep me up to date on the newest stuff too...I am very happy with my life, but would like to have someone to share things with. If you are looking for perfect or a model, I am not your girl. I am and always will be a work in progress, I love learning and improving myself. I think I need to clarify what I am looking for. I am not looking for perfect, just perfect for me. Be happy and enjoy life. I will always support my partner 100%, but I am not looking to fix someone's life. If your not happy you have no business starting a relationship. And that is what I am looking for eventually... a relationship.. a partntership.. a friendship... That is a lot of ships, :-)... Don't mistake kindness for weakness... I have met enough dishonest people to last me a lifetime so if you need to lie or don't know how to communicate, do us both a favor and move on... First meeting should be short and sweet to see if we have the all elusive "chemistry". After that I am game for suggestions...

    I'm mom to 2, one is adult and out in her own and the mother of my precious grandson. The other is the sweetest little 11 year old boy I've ever met.
