About Me

I am active and love being outdoors. I play kickball on an adult rec league and love it! I'd spend every weekend in the mountains hiking or on the lake if I could. I am also very creative. I have above average intelligence, and can get bored easy so I've usually got one or two new things I'm trying to learn about. I tend to be on the more serious side, but when I let loose I can get downright silly. I have to trust you first to let you see that side of me though. My hobbies include running, working out, photography, painting, baking, hiking, reading, and spending time with family/friends. I am somewhat of a computer geek and love figuring out how to bring cool technology into my classroom.I'm really just looking for friends to hang out with at this point. If you want FWB, that's not me so move on. If you are over 48, don't have a photo, refuse to use correct grammar in your ***, want to hook up, don't like kids, smoke, or have ever had addiction issues.....MOVE ON!

My first day as an online dater, a "gentleman" (perhaps appropriately self-titled as Kidneyshovel) asked me to come over and hang out in his basement at 11 PM. Hmmm.....not really a basement kind of girl. And so it goes, here I am, again, giving it a try...I love books. I fantasize about being trapped in a library for months and reading all the books on my wish list (IQ84), and all the books I'd love to experience again (Of Human Bondage), and all the books I didn't really like, if only to give them the second chance they deserve (sorry Moby-Dick).I am deeply affected by beauty--even something as small as the way light makes shapes on a dusty floor. Colors, fabrics, fashion, buildings, birds, all attract and hold my eye. I can't help but assign meaning, which probably isn't there, to the smallest visual details.I love dancing, well, any kind of movement really. I like to tiptoe and twirl, cartwheel and climb, leap and lunge, sway and swoon. Take me dancing and we're off to a swimming start. I don't think adults are playful enough. I'd like to meet someone who has a healthy sense of play and fun. These are a few of my favorite things:TV: Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire (loving season 4), Six Feet Under, House of Cards, early seasons of Parks and Rec.-Up Bird Chronicles (love everything by Murakami), The Executioner's Song, The History of Love, Sophie's Choice...A few of the things I can do:**Palm a basketball (a woman with very large--yet feminine!--hands)**Dominate the scrabble board (a woman of many words)**Recite a few Shakespearean sonnets (a woman inspired by beauty)**Knock back a dozen cookies in one sitting (a woman of serious appetites)**Fall asleep within 30 seconds of my head contacting the pillow (a woman with a clean conscience)**Rock funky leopard heels, skinny jeans and t-shirt (a woman with a sense of fashion)***I am a few years older than my age posted here, but men often cap their search at ***an age I can easily pass for (: If you find the fact that I've done this dishonest (which is weird since I'm stating it here), then there are certainly no hard feelings on my end, but chastising me as your opening line, well...honestly, I'd prefer to be invited to a basement by Kidneyshovel. Something short and sweet: a walk through the park or at the beach (not the boardwalk though as I was run over by a drunk bicyclist on a meetville date!), or a glass of wine.I don't exchange phone numbers (and for very good reason--the whole one bad apple spoils the whole barrel thing), so we will have to arrange things via messages through meetville. If we meet and, god forbid, we are not a match, let's end things gracefully. And by gracefully I mean no hard feelings and no need for follow up *** the initial recognition and so-be-it-I-wish-you-well exchange. We've all been there, or at least had the impulse to want to keep writing, but my lack of interest is not a statement about your value and vice versa.

I recently am out of a 6 year relationship. I have a 22 year old son who is out of the house and a daughter who is 4 that lives with me. I love to watch movies, comedies are my favorite. Love to cook and I know I am good at. I am laid back and believe material things in life are not important! I am not afraid of work and have worked my whole life. I also love music of all kinds.Looking for someone who can make me laugh, not to in to themselves and who wants to be in a serious relationship that is not one sided!

I want to expand my horizons and meet new people and visit new places. . I am a Fl native and I agree chatting on the cell is a great way of getting to know someone before the whole meet and greet thing. I have lived other places in these great United States but this is home. I am a christian but not a perfect one. Thank goodness we are forgiven. My main goal in life is to be the best that I can be. My biggest turn on is an intelligent man, who is honest and creative. I find it difficult to type about myself. I'm easy going for the most part. One thing I don't understand about men is why they feel threatened by an independent woman? If you can answer that one please tell me Open to anything. Romance not pressure is great.
