Love to laugh and like being around those who feel the same way. I have two large dogs and a career I am very proud of. I am a Director of Career Services for a College and love what I do as it is helping others by what I have learned in life. My son recently joined the Army and I can proudly say I will be a grandmother in June. I am very easy going, I do not like drama but I do love meeting new people and enjoy all types of music, being outside and being active. I very much believe life is what we make it and if something is not good it is up to ourselves to be happy and make the changes. Would love to meet someone who enjoys the same and most of all is looking to enjoy someone's company and have a good time. First date would be comfortable. We would meet some place where we could talk and get to know each other and take it from there. I know this site say make it long but I prefer to be surprised in what the first date that would lead to a second date would be. I do know this...no matter what the events would be it would lead to looking forward to the next time.

here I am again... Reluctant Participant..Can't go any further until I add something here. There's always a catch...I supposed you could call me a reluctant participant. I don't know anyone who is comfortable having to come up with a 'personality resume'. I'm just checking things out***updateI know at this age I am supposed to know who I am, and what I want out of life. Well, surprise ... I know who I was and that I was good at it - House is still standing, I have 2 amazing successful daughters, a son who is still working out his kinks, all grown and moved into their own lives. Now its time to discover who the empty nester me is. I am a social person, spent many years as an advocate for the Learning Disabled and special education, am somewhat active in my community politically - have no tolerance for the BS so it limits my involvement. I work in the town I live in which is a blessing in itself I love learning new things about myself - being exposed to what is outside my box - discovering me.. I have been sailing the past few years, love it!! Love being on the back of a Harley, its the sound not the vibration...Wish I was more creative - can't draw a stick figure but I love and appreciate great art - from homegrown to museums, theater, music... I love being in NYC or PHILLY or DC - just loathe getting there lol so it seems when I'm 'doing' its about the journey, when I'm appreciating its about the destination.I love to dance - usually around the house as going to bars/clubs got old - or was it me that got old?? That crowd gets younger and younger every time I venture out lolA lot of the profiles I've read have comments about 'normal women' or lack there of. Makes me wonder what normal is? I am independent, don't want or need anyone to 'take care of me' - that seems to intimidate many so if you're looking to rescue someone I'm not your girl. If you're looking for someone to grow with and discover what is behind that door change has opened give me a shout.now the required: Discovery, History, Animal Planet...)Red Sox over Yankees - Patriots over Giants - grew up in CT!

Looking for someone fun, smart, and a bit of an outdoor lover. I live on the Pamlico River and just love it. Want to buy a boat, but not sure I know enough about them!I'm in publishing, travel a bit for business, and am a big animal lover. Not sure I could date a hunter. I'm a vegetarian but it doesn't matter whether my friends or family are....just something I want to do. I do some volunteer work, and love going out with friends for live music and fun in the sun. I go to wine tastings we have here locally, and love learning about anything new. Maybe friends who can pal around together at first would be great, and if anything sparks, great; if not, we've both made a new friend. Outdoor activity for a first date would be great. Maybe a hike, or volunteer work, with some dinner and wine. I'm fairly flexible. Learning something new, going somewhere new, or just something fun between friends.
