I am a woman who feels that family is very important. Mine means the world to me! I don't know what or where I would be without them. I had a very traditional upbringing, with my nuclear family still intact. As for my own family, not so lucky. I was married for 20 years, now divorced and a single mother of six beautiful children, ranging from 14 to 25. I couldn't be more proud of them. I enjoy cooking, baking, cleaning, and doing yard work. I wouldn't call them hobbies, since they are required as a mom, but I enjoy doing them anyway. I like to play ping pong and take long walks. Fall is my favorite season. I enjoy most kinds of music, but mostly listen to top 40, oldies stations or country. I have never been one to have big dreams or goals in my life. The two things I wanted most I have done: to be married with a large family and to have my elderly grandmother and children see me receive my college degree, which I accomplished at the age of 36. I am a very traditional (you may say old-fashioned) kind of girl, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I have had many trials and obstacles in my life, as have so many people, but I have tried to turn them into lessons and have used them as stepping stones to get me to the place I am today. I am proud of the woman that I have turned out to be and I have my wonderful parents and christian upbringing to thank for that. I think a first date should be kept simple. I would say meeting somewhere quiet for maybe a coffee,ice cream or dinner, so that we can talk and get to know one another.

    Well let me start off by saying I am a very proud mother,and I am going to school for the medical field, that and my job take up a lot of my time. I am getting to old for the drama and BS that come with some men. Just be honest and don't try to take me for a fool, because it wont work! I am not a biotch, but.. well you know.     I think happiness is important, life is too short. I want to meet someone who is positive, and comfortable with themselves, but looking to move on in their future. I lived in upstate NY for 10 years and I have spent the last four years enjoying what I have referred to as a "midlife crisis walk about." When my children left home I found myself sitting in an empty nest wondering why I was working and shoveling snow.??? I decided to go back to school on line and go where life took me. There are two recent developments that have changed things for me a bit. My 15 yr old son moved back from his Dad's to live with me full time and my daughter who got married last year, just had my first granddaughter. She is beautiful and precious. So there is lots of life and activity in my world, but it is all good! I have been in Ga for a year now. I have enjoyed the oportunity to go back to school and further my education. I guess I am lucky that opportunities always seem to present themselves. I like to see new places and experience new things. I appreciate the finer things in life but don't need much to keep me happy; I keep it simple. I love to Camp (by the water) nothing better than a nice night by a campfire with friends sharing laughs and****ails. I would really like to meet someone who has like interests and knows how to smile, laugh and live a little. I like to do anything outdoors, as long as the sun is shining; being on a boat or in the water is always a plus! I have a strong personality and am very outgoing. I am not compatible with insecure controlling men. I like strangers, and am not afraid to strike up a conversation. Would like to meet someone who compliments me and I compliment them. I live by three rules; Be Responsible, Reliable, and Respectful of others. These are the basics and I look for the same in return. I would like to meet someone who is emotionally stable and mentally available. Have passionate eyes and a strong mind. Someone with a zest for life, someone who laughs has friends, and other functional relationships (very important). Enjoys stimulating conversation, must be passionate, affectionate, playful, and mentally inspiring to me. I need a mental connection and a physical attraction. Most of all I would like to meet someone with integrity (do the right thing.. even when no one else is looking..) First date, well I would love to give you a play by play of what a fist date should entail but then I would never know if you were just rehearsed or you actually had a creative mind to think of something unique. I will tell you this. First meeting casual, coffee or a drink. We may not like each other's company and I hate that awkward ummm gotta go feeling!
