I have a happy life with family who love me and friends who would do anything for me. I like to stay busy and am almost never bored. I love to laugh and do it as often as possible. The single life has not been at all bad, but recently I have found myself craving something more. I wish for someone special to be with me trekking new territories, sharing history and making life an all-out blast! I joined this site with the hopes of finding my someone special. While I do love to travel, see and do new things, explore and absorb as much as the world may have to offer, I am not a party girl, bar hopper, or stay-out-all-night-raising-hell kind of girl. From time to time, I may join friends in watching a mutual friend's band play at a local pub. I'm not a complete stick in the mud, and I love letting my hair down, but I don't go to these type places in search of my next date. I'm hoping this site has more to offer than the local pub. I truly do want to meet someone who is interested in being in a committed relationship when the time is right. I am not looking for a pen pal, text buddy, or *** you contact me, please have intentions of eventually calling and meeting face to face. I'm a snuggling, cuddling, come get a little closer while watching tv kind of girl... A hand holding, whispering in your ear, sneaking a kiss in public type of girl... I am affectionate and I encourage the same. I am not, however, a space invader, and know when it is or isn't an appropriate time for such actions ...so guys, you can now let out that breath you've been holding since you started reading this paragraph ;) I am a devoted mother, but an empty nester. My eighteen year old daughter moved in with her dad two years ago. While we have an unconditional love for each other, there just seems to be so many more things higher on the list than hanging with her parents these days (go figure!). Needless to say, I have had A LOT of idle time on my hands. I returned to school (almost finished! yippee!) while working a full time job, took up a few new hobbies, redesigned parts of my house, and then realized I STILL have a lot of time on my hands. Sooooo.... let's go find something to get into!

There ought to be an etiquette book for these sorts of things; perhaps I will write one. Meanwhile, introductions are in order.I am a professional woman, fiercely independent, logical and unsentimental. I have no patience for superstition or stupidity and I have a tender and wild side. Do I contradict myself? Very well, then, I contradict myself. I am an unapologetic nerd with a Svengali- I work long hours and I am committed to my career. I enjoy healthy meals –if you hear that the global supply of yellow fin tuna is gone, that was me–… but enough about me. Let’s talk about you.You believe that witty banter should be an Olympic sport. You know your way around a kitchen and any given firearm that may, ahem, have fallen into your hands. You are intelligent, educated, honest, independent, self-assured and painfully funny. You want a serious relationship with a woman who has her life together. There is nothing I will ask of you that I will not offer you in return. I do not mind if you have children, but married or currently attached men need not apply. You’re wondering about the tender and wild side I mentioned earlier, aren’t you? Let’s meet and see where things go from there. This sort of thing is entirely up to you. You might want to get a drink in me.

I am a very athletic, hard-working and very artistic (in many ways) person looking for a man who cares for a woman even if she has a health problem. I have had epilepsy ever since I was four years old. My epilepsy has never stopped me from doing everything I want to throughout my life. I have participated in all athletic events held at the school where I graduated, twirled baton, took dancing lessons (that I love to do at nightclubs to classic rock music. I have more than ***CDs on my stereo that holds ***CDs), horseback riding I did in 4-H and my epilepsy has not even stopped me from graduating high school and college with a two-year degree in "Commercial Art Technology". The only one thing my epilepsy has stopped me from doing is driving a vehicle. My family is bigger than what it says.I need an honest man who cares for more than he himself like I care for the health and especially the entire freedom of everyone in this country. One more thing I will add or say because of it being about the only thing I am picky or a little strict about are having pets (dogs and cats for example) in the home or residence where I live. I'm not saying I don't like pets or all other animals especially after being raised on a farm. I just prefer that the pets or animals I have or own will have their own home (a dog house for example that I would also definitely take good care of). I always stay busy keeping my home clean and having a fresh scent. Meet somewhere (a restaurant?) out in the public to learn more about each other first.
