It's never pretty, but hopefully (let me put on my rose-colored glasses) we all become better people by virtue of having experienced it/them. I have grown from having gone through it all, and have come to realize that I wouldn't be who I am today had they not happened so I look for the same in a partner. I've healed my fair share of lonely, broken hearts too (meaning theirs) so I look for someone who is not jumping from relationship to relationship because they cannot be by themselves. Home has to be where the heart is otherwise it’s just not a home.If I was asked to describe my dating style based on my driving style - well - I'm in the slow lane and I'm perfectly happy being there until the right person comes along, almost friends first before more can follow.
