Let me jump right in with the things I love: I love the outdoors (hiking, skiing, skating, etc.). Out in nature is where I find peace. I also love animals, all types of music, art, movies, and new experiences.I'm interested in philosophy, psychology, sociology, and science in general. I'm creative, independent, affectionate, and liberal-minded with a good sense of humor (I hope). I'm a bit of a neat freak. I'm passionate, but without a lot of drama. I'm also a vegetarian, but I don't preach to anyone. I take a live-and-let-live approach to life. I enjoy a good discussion and can see both sides of a topic, but at the same time, I don't like to fight or argue. I believe in treating others the way I want to be treated. And that's how I live my life. I enjoy doing volunteer work in my spare time (I have no children, so less responsibilities, more free time). I've done everything from helping clean up the coastline (I don't ascribe to a "princess" mentality) to a 5K run/walk to planting trees. I'm driven to making the world a better place while I'm here. Also, when volunteering, I get a sense of community--something that's lacking these days.I'd like to meet someone who shares a lot of my beliefs and interests, but also has a few separate hobbies. I don't care how little or how much money you have--I'm self-supporting. Every once in awhile, I need some alone time to reflect and recharge, and I will gladly give you the same in return.
