Honestly, I never thought I would be back here...but, things happen and here I am. Even as a high school English teacher, I find it ridiculously hard to write about myself so now I know the pain my students go through when they hear the words "personal narrative." As a divorced single mom of an awesome ***year old boy, I stay pretty busy with the best little guy around, but I want to have someone special in my life. I love my job and have an amazing group of students that makes coming to work every day worth it. I love to cook and bake and probably would have made a great 50's housewife...minus the stay at home with the kids thing. Being a working mom makes me a better mom. I try and get to the gym several times a week because, unbelievably, I discovered a few years ago that not only is working out a great reliever of stress but that I actually ENJOY it. I am looking for someone to spend quality time with. Who is willing to think outside of the box and try new things. Someone who will take risks and is not afraid to date a mom with a great kid...so someone who loves kids. I love trying new restaurants and experiencing new things and there is nothing like a night at the ballpark under the lights. Someone who will make me laugh, who has a great smile and sense of humor. Someone who is willing to send me a good morning text just because. Someone who will make me a priority in his life. Someone to have as a best friend.

OK so a lil about myself. I try to always look for the good in everything, which gets me into trouble from time to time. I'm honest to a fault and love with all my heart. And yes I know how to shoot a gun ane should try at least once in their life. I love the water, especially let skiing. I've always wanted to go out ATVing tho I've never had the chance. I am not one who is easily offended which is why I've always been able to hang out as one of the guys when needed. And not one of those girls who hangs out In. A big click of girls. Tho yes I do have plenty of female friends. I like to use big words to make myself sound smart. When really I don't know a lot about much. But I know a little about a lot. If I am not out with friends having a few drinks/dancing on a Friday night, I am either 1) going to the gym 2) renting a movie and curling up on the couch (any suggestions??***cooking dinner (salmon is my fav***possibly a combination of 1, 2 and 3. The rest of the weekend depends on the season. Summer usually involves numerous trips to Wrigley Field, the lakefront and my roof deck. Currently its pumpkin and football season, so I’m either walking around with a chai tea or looking to go day drinking while college football is on…any takers?? If you couldn’t tell I like action and I like to laugh.Music: I live for music! Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Third Eye Blind, Pink Floyd, indie rock are some of my favorites. (80s, zumba/hip-hop for dancing). Other: do you ever feel like there are moments in your life that can be enhanced by a soundtrack like in a movie? I have a lot of those songs on my iPod. Example: If I were to be in a scene where I am walking away from a building I just blew up, I would be dressed in all black and the song “How You Like Me Now” by The Heavy would be playing in the background.Food: Anything except Chinese food, within reason (I know I’m probably the only person on earth who does not like Chinese food! There’s a reason behind it, I promise).I like men who are smart, confident and have an above par sense of humor; and who can appreciate a blue-eyed, curvy brunette like me. And if you aren't smiling in any of your pictures, we probably won't get along.
