Life isn't always straight forward. I've learnt the hard way the true value of honesty, compassion, kindness and trust. On balance I'm confident I've done more good to people than bad which is probably as good a measure of a man's character as any. I believe - within reason - it's what you do in the end that counts.I've seen something of the world but I'm very much aware that I've still got a lot to learn. I think I'm fairly resilient; over the years I've managed to break my nose, my shoulder twice, a few ribs, fractured my shin and torn a ligament in my ankle and as far as I'm aware everything still pretty much works OK.e. I guess in some ways I'm unconventional - you probs. need to be OK with tattoos - but I'm also into the standard guy things e.g. football, BBQs, lawnmowers etc...To be honest I'm not the best at relaxing and generally need to be doing something, but you know, if you're like that too, it could probably work out pretty good! The reason I joined this site is that last year I got out of a long term relationship and most of my friends are now married... So basically at this point I'd like to meet some interesting people, maybe develop some friendships and just expand my social network a little.I'm really not into "clubbing" per se and I don't have much time for it either but I have to say every now and then, i like to go out dancing in a good company (I mostly go to salsa places but I'm open to "normal" dance type of places as well...) . So it'd be great to meet some people who are into that too. My other interests include , seeing a live comedy show, going for drinks, brunches, tennis, wakeboarding, I really like taking long walks on Mont-Royal ... . I click best with people who have a good sense of humor and who can carry an intelligent conversation. A bit more about me: I'm university educated, hard working, ambitious, genuine, family-oriented, respectful, emotionally stable and very dependable. Serious about my life’s goals but I also love to joke around and have a great laugh. I'd say I'm a bit of both - calm and active and a relatively balanced mix of artistic, sporty and intellectual. Just as I like to do stuff, I definitely find a lot of pleasure in staying in and watching a movie on a cold day. Aside from working full time, I also spend quite a bit of time each week on a non-commercial artistic project which means that I have a pretty busy schedule. Having said that, I always find time for people close to me.Completely as a sidenote, as far as dating goes... I'll just say this: I don't want to rush into something too quickly, without knowing the person first. I am very honest and genuine, and would like to meet someone with the same qualities above all else, as it is pointless having a fantasy persona online when all will be revealed eventually. I think a lot of people want *** these days, but I am quite keen to take things steadily and get to know someone first.I am a fun loving guy who likes to have a laugh a lot of the time, but can be serious when I need to be, especially at work. Although having said that I do still try and have a laugh at work too. I'm a Mechanical / Production Engineer which mainly involves programming robotic machines to make things out of metal. So that you don't drift into a coma whilst reading this I won't go into any more detail.As far as hobbies go, I am quite active and like doing all sorts, such as going to the gym (weight training and racquet sports), sailing, waterskiing, kayaking... actually I like most watersports but don't get to do any as often as I'd like. I also like skiing, and would love to have a go at skydiving. I am also a bit of a night owl, and enjoy going clubbing. I am mainly into House, Garage, Bassline, Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Trance... There is other music I like, but find it hard to keep track of all of the genres and sub genres above all else. My favourite radio station is 1Xtra, they play a lot of my kind of music on there.I'm going to wrap it up there, I wouldn't normally write so much about myself, but thought I would give it a go.
