Im not used to writing about myself, so here goes nothing. I would describe myself as confident, educated, sarcastic, playful, funny, honest, respectful, compassionate, determined, responsible, clean, organized and friendly with a southern charm on top. I can be a softy at times, but Im a department head at work, so i have to keep a positive leadership type of attitude during the stressful times.My ideal woman is someone who has a motherly *** will put the kids on top of the list. Time for an edit...no longer work a crappy low-paying job with variable hours and weekends. I now work a better job with a little more money, same hours each week, so I've got that going for me...LOL.I list myself as a few extra pounds. Seems the most appropriate label. I continue to lose weight and add muscle, but I doubt I'll ever be "average" in body type (at least if I believe the BMI charts at the doctor's office). I've lost 25 pounds since July, added a new pic in late November ***. I hate my own pics...but folks seem to notice the weight loss. Okay, now it's December ***. Weight: variable. Lost weight, gained some back, need to exercise more.I'm supposed to describe myself and my interests. I don't hang around bars, so that's not something to use as a time-killer, at least not by myself. I'm an independent engineering consultant, which is a nice way that my company could say "Don't call us, we'll call you" when it comes to available work. You might even see me around town, I tend to wear my glasses these days (as opposed to my contact lenses)I think of myself as a pretty average guy... I hope to work on singing. Not sure I'm terribly good, but I have fun doing it. I'm not bad, I did used to do this when I was younger. I've been walking...A LOT...since getting here, to get in better shape. I'd love to find someone to walk with, now that nice weather is nearly here. People are starting to look at me with a weird look, I must be talking to myself when I walk. :-)Something else. Also, I deejay on the weekends (okay, not REALLY...that's a reference to the eSurance ad on TV)A little more about me:-I don't fish-I don't hunt-I don't care much about NASCAR (I do and have watched it, but I don't follow it)-I'm funny (not in the 'Cannibal eats the clown, and says "This one tastes funny"' kind of way)-I don't smoke-I drink socially, which isn't that often. Probably no more than a half-dozen times per year, but I have had 'a bit too much' every now and then...LOL.-If you say you're looking for a "God-fearing man", I may not be your guy. I do believe in God. I'm just not big on organized religion, at least a few of the more popular ones around this area.I just saw something on here that said: "Want to find out how someone would seduce you and you would stand no chance?" Well....DUH!!! Fix me spaghetti or give me a good backrub. Or both! :-)As I said above, I am very unique. I have an interesting sense of humor, some get it, others don't. I'm not the type to respond with two-word sentences. Keep it simple, determine if there is chemistry. Seriously? How about lunch, or dinner, something simple? If it goes well, we can go from there.
