I am a person who has had to work really hard to get where I need to go in life and it's made me the woman I am today and for that I'm grateful! Here are some of the aspects of me and what I love to do and where I want to go on my journey in life...First of all, if family is not important and number one to you, then you should probably skip my intro because my family is my world....They are the backbone of who I am and they are alway there , no matter how crazy life gets, or what has happened, it's the love of family that is the glue to hold it all together and get through anything..I am a person who has to make a funny especially when life gets stressful, and so on., that I find I HAVE TO LAUGH no matter what !!! And I like funny people....Not afraid of their sense of humor either! If you don't find Will Ferrell's sense of humor as funny and outrageous as I do, then I'm sorry.....Amazingly funny watching him doing stand-up live......Now thats one odd sense of humor, that's why I love it! I love to listen to music , especially at home and its time to get moving and going especially when its time to open all the windows and clean and when I'm driving , and walking, almost any time I can listen to good music..and my tastes span many genres.......for many reasons! I'm a type of person who also wont tolerate at any time, B.....S....games! Bottom line, don't lie, or waste my time ! Just be upfront from the start, and my respect for you will grow leaps and bounds, even if I never talk to you again, I will know you have some sense of being true to yourself!! That amazing statement of "Being True to Oneself! " or To thine own self be true! They pack a powerful punch when looking in the mirror and realizing "If I'm not true to me, then who will be??? But my most amazing accomplishment, the best thing that ever came into my life, is my handsome and amazing son! He and I have been through a lot together in the last 18 years and he never ever ceases to amaze me and never stops making me proud! Well, here is the sum up of my main ideals and thoughts of my life and of me .....lets see if there is someone out there who is on the same page as I am !!! A first date should be uncomplicated and relaxed.....for myself anyway...a drink and real conversation is a great start! .I don't know what to really say here, being out of the "dating" scene for quite some time , i haven't thought of how a "first date" is going to be.....I believe Things have a way of working themselves out , if you just let them...!

I am not impressed by big bank accounts or flashy things but self sufficiency is certainly a must, so, those in search of sugar mamas need not apply, lol. I do prefer the simple things in life though and would much rather spend my time reading a book, listening to an acoustic set around a camp fire or watching Mother Nature paint the canvas of sky during sunset as opposed to hitting the clubs. "Keeping up with the Joneses" is just not my style...maintaining my own sense of self & style and a connection with Mother Nature is much more my speed. Well, that and amusing myself through messing with the minds of my neighbors by planting the Jedi mind-screw seeds of self preservation. Living in a rough neighborhood requires the need to protect my family and home and I choose to do so in a non-violent fashion while providing myself and my friends with comical entertainment at the same time, lol. I like Harleys and the old school hot rods, especially GTOs, Chevy Cameros from the 60's and VW's (the hippy in me will never die!). I'm a free spirited kind of girl that stays up late &..Gator fan born & raised too...sorry boys, I can't be converted, lol, but I can fully enjoy some football rivalry at game time. Having been THE football season bartender in the small town I'm from was a great deal of fun and that spirited sports rivalry is something that I miss. I am a somewhat social yet very spiritual person with an extremely diverse circle of friends and chosen family. My friends are not chosen by their financial or societal status or what they have to offer beyond true kinship. They are chosen for the heart that they openly show to humanity as well as their ability to make people laugh...some of them ain't right but are funny as all get out, lol, and laughter is just plain good medicine. The things I recognize that my friends have in common is that they look at life with soft eyes, eyes wide with wonder, eyes squinted in laughter, eyes half closed with deep thought or with a questioning mind, eyes closed in solemn gratitude for even the smallest of blessings and, lastly, eyes raised in communion with the Creator of all.I am not here to change anyone as I am too busy working on being a better person than I was the day before. To make this world a better place, change begins within. If you value intellect, respect, trust, honesty, open mindedness, lots of laughter, understanding & communication, then we could very well be off to a good start toward a lasting friendship. If I were a mixed drink the recipe would be 4 parts intelligence, 3 parts sass, 5 parts wisdom & 3 parts class - add to shaker and mix vigorously, add umbrella and a dash of sarcasm...warning, this drink is strong!If you want to know more, drop me a line. I can make killer homemade brownies as well as delicious beef panang curry or tacos, nachos and many other yummy dishes. I enjoy cooking for someone as well as someone who can cook very well. At last check, I had over ***songs on my Ipod, does that make me a music lover or music junkie? I listen to it all - Rock, Country, Jazz, Pop, Trance, Techno, R&B and Contemporary Christian. I always seem to draw small kids and animals into my lap. I keep a long list of silly and corny jokes around to make you laugh and if that doesn't work, I can trip over nothing to put you at ease. I enjoy my quiet time at the nail shop and always enjoy drinks on a patio with friends. I am usually working on some time of craft project. I like to make all kinds of things. Mainly I just enjoy working with my hands. I am pursing my bachelors in psychology at LU and will follow it with a masters as well. I will be a counselor when it is all said and done. I am really a very easy going person, but not so easy going that I will let anyone take advantage of me. I always have music playing in the background, I love sing along, even if I don't have the best voice. :)~ My motto is one we all have heard too much, but it's true. Live Life, Laugh Often and Love Always. Yes, I am a single parent. Yes, I am busy. However, I am able to make plans and keep them. I do require more than a 24 hour notice. I hope you can understand this request. Oh sure, I love a spur of the moment action, but that is not always feasible. Why am I here? Well, let's see. Like all of us, I would like to have someone to date. I am in no hurry to run to a wedding chapel, but I find that I would like to be seeing someone special. My biggest pet peeves would be lying.
