I consider myself a quite girl who's a little hard to get to know, but once you know me you'll realize I was definitely worth the effort. I take all relationships in my life slowly. I highly respect a person who is knowledgable on many things and enjoys carrying on a conversation with anyone about anything. A love of the Jayhawks is a must, as is (at least) a tolerance of cats. KU basketball is my true religion. I have no interest in converting to any Christian religion so please don't try to proselytize around me. I was raised Catholic, and in my studies of Judaism, I find it to probably be the best fit for me personally. However, I really consider myself a secular humanist. With my political and religious beliefs, and many of my interests, I feel a bit like an oddity in Kansas. I've lived in other states, but keep coming back, because my family is here, and in the end I truly am a Kansas girl. I believe that we can learn something from every experience and every person who enters our lives. I try to look for the good in humanity, no matter how well it may be hidden, and I want to leave the world a better place than I found it. However, I'm definitely not a hippie, vegan and I shower at least one a day. I'd describe people I'd like to meet with four Cs - compassionate, charitable, curious, and conversational.
