Over the last several years I've learned, for the most part, you can not take yourself or much of life too seriously. I work hard and am passionately committed to my faith, my son and my small circle of friends/family. In my opinion, an ideal first date is something that enables enough interaction to get a good sense of the person I'm spending my time with and potential chemistry. I'm not looking to be impressed with venue, I prefer the opportunity to speak to and get to know the person I'm meeting, to a flashy venue.

Hmmm... I have been in this area a couple of years now and feel like I have been wasting it. There are so many good places to hang out and things to do. Yet I don't do any of it. I'm a great catch, have a great sense of humor, I am stable, educated, dedicated, loving and ready. Let the last word sit there for awhile. Prior to now, I simply wasn't ready for a commitment. I prefer first date to be pretty informal and more of a meet and greet type of atmosphere. So a drink with appetizers or a cup of coffee is a great start. There's always the rest of the day or evening if things go well.
