Skip dinner and a movie...besides being cliche' and pricey for the guy, both people are too nervous to really eat and the whole point of a first date is to talk and get to know each other...the purpose is defeated in a movie theater. A walk in the park, if you both want to continue then you can go to dinner. Or even better...bring an easy picnic to the park. Something simple. Save the WOW factor for the person you want a second date with.

At this point in my life I think I am pretty comfortable with who I am and what I want, but I can also be an awkward dork sometimes. I live on an incredibly beautiful farm and get to do what I want for a job. I'm independent but I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I've traveled a lot and used to be a professional chef but I still enjoy a good donut. Most of my clothes have some hay in the pockets, but I clean up pretty well when i get the chance. I love going to a show at Moe's or a dance party at a friend's house. I've got a freezer full of homegrown meat for spontaneous BBQs as well. My ideal match is comfortable in his own skin, kind-hearted, and has a quick-wit and dry sense of humor. He doesn't get too upset when I crush him at Trivial Pursuit, but he won't let me lead when dancing. I like a man that can build things and fix things and work with his hands.
