Hi, Well here I am writing this message on meetville and not sure what might be the best thing to say would be. Oh well here it goes. I am an estimator for a flooring/ hardwood company and am a divorced parent with 2 kids. I love them both dearly and are involved in their lives as much as possible. I am so proud of them both. As far as what I like to do in my free time well I love the outdoors. I like to go hiking in the mountains, hunting, fishing, camping etc....(basically anything outside). I like going to the movies, long walks on the beach, and sometimes just being totally spontaneous and jumping in the runner and driving somewhere that I have never been. When it comes to music I like just about everything (except rap) like some country music (Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts) and mostly I like to rock. I play the drums so any band with a good drummer I'm okay with. I think that what makes me unique is that I am a very compassionite person in that I listen to people when the talk and take in their problems as my own and try to help everyone I meet. Some call it the "kindness gene curse". Oh well I just cant help it.......I like to make people feel better when I can. My goal in life is probably just like most people which is to live a happy healthy life full of caring freinds and family. On a first date I pretty much dont do anything.........just kidding. Ha! No really I am quite the gentlemen and the romantic type. I like making my date feel comfortable right from the start sometimes with a joke or a hug............sometimes both. Sometimes a date during the day is good like going to a park so they dont feel under any pressure or under a spotlight. I am a very casual guy so more than likely I will show up in a pair of jeans and a nice shirt or depending on what we have planned shorts and a t shirt. Another good idea while on a date is a walk on a clear night and look at the stars. Especially in the right place like at a lake or something. Anyway there are a lot of options for a first date. Hey! Thanks for checking out my profile I don't fit into any one category and have a few hats. I am athletic and enjoy the gym so I have a jock hat which kind of fit into my work hat, I worked for The Dept. of Corrections and have recently completed my 25th year and have retired. (Everyday is saturday) I was lucky enough to have progressed through the ranks (Captain) and enjoy financial security. My home has become my job and keeps me busy. My son is 21 and goes to school in the city and I dont get to see him as much as would like to. I miss him and if he is reading this, "dude, texting sucks, call your DAD." I am also part geek and thought about not mentioning it but I guess my DVD collection and DVR choices would give me away. Though I have never been to a convention or own any costumes or figurines(that's where you laugh), I do enjoy most sci-fi shows. I also enjoy most new series on HBO ,FX and SHO like boardwalk empire, SOA and game of thrones .I enjoy sporting events and like to watch baseball and football, I am a Giants and Mets fan and try to make to the stadiums a few times during the season weather permitting- Sounds like I watch TV all the time but I rely on the DVR and remember , everyday is Saturday. I like AC and it doesn't take much coaxing to get me there to contribute to paying the borgatas light bill. I enjoy the mall and never mind leaving with some new clothes. I enjoy the shore but don't really do the beach. I enjoy going to the movies and can compromise on the film since my default is always man movie.I love to go out to dinner!!! I was born Jewish but I really don't follow any organized religion. I believe that any explanation that doesn't include scientific facts is flawed and trying to explain the infinite is as difficult as teaching your dog to play Mozart. Now, I don't say this to offend, I am only giving my opinion ,so if you are very religious I am not the guy for you. I am culturally jewish and border line JAP and will spend ***dollars on a pair of jeans. I am looking for someone who shares some of my interests and also has interests she can share with me I have been around the block and no longer believe that opposites attract in the real world.( No matter how hard I try) I know it sounds cliche but i am looking for a friend and a partner. I am attracted to smart, funny and a little goofy more city than country. Someone who is career oriented, has an idea about current events the economy world events etc who can fit in most social events and hold her own in conversation. I would enjoy losing track of time because the company is so good.
