Am I the only one who thinks it's incredibly hard to write a self-summary?? I lived on St. I finally put on my big girl underoos and bought my amazing home. I graduated with a biology major in college, so I have a lot if interest in plants, animals, and the outdoors. I have just recently finished Master's degree in plant pathology. I also enjoy history and historical places. I also love to read books and write stories. I would love to write a book someday. I love to watch movies. I tend to be a action/scifi/fantasy movie fan, but I do enjoy some romance movies and comedies. I really enjoy going to see plays, one act shows and comedy skits. If I am going to watch any kind of sports, I would prefer watching it in the stadium more than on tv. I moved from NYC, but am riginally from the west coast. My passions are painting, music, dancing, reading, photography, pottery, and traveling. I just recently returned from my summer trip in Eastern Europe. Last year I spent the summer in Southeast Asia. I learned that I love to travel more than anything, after spending a year backpacking abroad through Latin America and Australia after my undergrads.I have a true love for art that started young, but became a huge passion after studying in France and attending art school.I am trying to learn how to play the piano now. I am a big fan of music and live venue bars...and a lot more.I try to read as much as possible, which is why I don't own a tv. Although, not owning a tv or being aware of what exists on cable, really puts me behind with our pop culture. My students always give me a hard time about it.I also enjoy the outdoors...camping, hiking, scuba diving, rock climbing, flying (took a few helicopter flight lessons)...anything goes. I have a tendency to dabble in everything, but am not an expert in anything. I try to go out as much as I can with my close friends and explore what this city has to offer. I really enjoy meeting new people.I do have two dogs (black labs) that take up a lot of my time. I am also completely involved with work and my students, because I LOVE my job. I have an addiction to coffee and chocolate. My favorite qualities in another human being are humility, kindness and playfulness. I enjoy just grabbing a cup of coffee, sitting back and relaxing. I am also up for grabbing a drink sometime.
