Honestly, I never thought I would be back here...but, things happen and here I am. Even as a high school English teacher, I find it ridiculously hard to write about myself so now I know the pain my students go through when they hear the words "personal narrative." As a divorced single mom of an awesome ***year old boy, I stay pretty busy with the best little guy around, but I want to have someone special in my life. I love my job and have an amazing group of students that makes coming to work every day worth it. I love to cook and bake and probably would have made a great 50's housewife...minus the stay at home with the kids thing. Being a working mom makes me a better mom. I try and get to the gym several times a week because, unbelievably, I discovered a few years ago that not only is working out a great reliever of stress but that I actually ENJOY it. I am looking for someone to spend quality time with. Who is willing to think outside of the box and try new things. Someone who will take risks and is not afraid to date a mom with a great kid...so someone who loves kids. I love trying new restaurants and experiencing new things and there is nothing like a night at the ballpark under the lights. Someone who will make me laugh, who has a great smile and sense of humor. Someone who is willing to send me a good morning text just because. Someone who will make me a priority in his life. Someone to have as a best friend.

I am awesome! My mom tells me so all the time. Seriously though, I think I am funny, intelligent, reasonable, logical, open- My words and actions will back up the aforementioned traits. I have a snarky and sarcastic veneer, but I still have a soft little underbelly of sweetness (pardon me I just vomited a little) hidden underneath (please don't tell, or it will ruin my street cred). I have been called normal by more than one guy, so I am beginning to think that this may be a rarity in broads these days. I have the kind of crazy that will use a shopping cart like a scooter (until I have a hip replacement), not the type of crazy that interrogates my fella because it took him more than ten seconds to return my text. I am not the jealous sort and don't like that quality in a guy. A smidgen of jealousy in a guy is a kind of cute, a dallop would be way too much (I think those units of measurement are correct). I think brains are hot! If you're a guy that knows the difference between homophones, doesn't use double negatives, and isn't too lazy to write out the words "you are" in lieu of "ur," we'll get along just swimmingly. A sense of humor is good too. It's nice when I'm not the only one laughing at my jokes. A fine hatred of Nickelback will also do well for you. You will get a better reaction from me by telling me you kick puppies for fun, than if you tell me you like Nickelback. I like a fella who is smarter than me, or one who can keep up with the banter. I am also one for boys who are trying to bring back chivalry. Yes, I am capable of opening my car door, but it's much sweeter when you do it. It shows a gal you think she's worth the extra effort. Me sending you the first *** going to happen bucko. I need to give you the illusion of control. ;) On a more serious note, I'm looking for a partner; someone who makes me feel all warm and squishy inside...Someone who wakes up every morning grateful that I'm part of his life, just as I do the same...Someone I can talk to for hours, or enjoy comfortable silence with...Someone who inspires me to think of creative ways to make him happy, make him feel appreciated, make him feel loved...Someone who makes me want to be the best version of myself and who I do the same for...Someone I can't wait to see and miss after he leaves...The list could go on forever.
